Добыча нефти и газа в России в большей степени осуществляются на месторождениях, разработка которых относится к последним десятилетиям прошлого столетия. По уровню их освоения и эксплуатации наблюдаются истощение запасов и снижение пластовых давлений. Длительное время разработки способствует усложнению условий строительства скважин на этих месторождениях, особенно в вопросах обеспечения надежности разобщения вскрываемых продуктивных пластов. Анализ материалов бурения и заканчивания скважин Западной Сибири и Севера Тюменской области показал, что увеличилось количество поглощений цементного раствора при креплении скважин, а также наличие межпластовых перетоков. Значительная доля фонда добывающих скважин характеризуется показателями обводненности продукции более 80 %. Фонд скважин, дающих обводненную продукцию сразу после освоения, составляет не менее 15 %. Временная изоляция проницаемых водоносных пластов -технологически необходимая операция, которая значительно осложняется при низких пластовых давлениях. Актуальным является применение составов с низкой плотностью. Примерами подобных составов являются эмульсии и пены. Наиболее подходящими жидкостями блокирования являются жидкости с низким показателем динамического напряжения сдвига в поверхностных условиях и с высоким в призабойной зоне пласта, что позволяет снижать вероятность проникновения жидкости глушения в продуктивный горизонт и ухудшать его фильтрационно-емкостные свойства.
