The prediction of the environmental conditions in megacities is considered, taking account of highways. Modernization of smart transportation systems by means of environmental monitoring equipment is analyzed. An environmental monitoring module integrated in a smart transportation system is described.
The method of protection of personnel working in greenhouses, greenhouses and premises for maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery from exposure to exhaust gases in accordance with the “environmental concept”, according to which the negative impact must be reduced before the products of spent gases will enter the air of the working area of the service personnel and the driver of the machine. The problem was solved with the help of evaporative humidification of the air-fuel mixture due to its simplicity and effectiveness, confirmed during tests on a tractor.
The scheme of purification of exhaust ventilation emissions from harmful impurities of production sites. Calculated energy costs according to the traditional scheme cleaning, including a cyclone and a Venturi scrubber. To reduce energy costs, it is proposed air purification scheme from fine dust using an innovative irrigated nozzle made of porous plastic plates for turbulence of air flow. It is proved by calculation that in order to achieve the required environmental dust efficiency in the innovative system, energy consumption is about 9 times less.
A quantitative analysis of the heavy metals and benzo(a)pyrene in soil, water and sediments of several lakes was performed in this work. Quantitative analysis was performed by ICP-MS and HPLC technique. The coefficients of variation, which evidence is uneven, were calculated for the heavy metals and B[a]P in soil, water and sediments. Elements which have high concentrations were found. Components which exceeded background concentrations values were identified. The influence of road traffic flows on the background concentrations for heavy metals in soils and sediments of ponds of recreational areas was determined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
