The results of the study of the output laser beam spatial characteristics of the Nd:Gd3Ga5O12 (Nd:GGG) disk laser with multipoint spatially periodic diode-pumping are presented. The presence of the optical coupling between the TEM00 lasing channels is demonstrated. The phase-locking of channels was realized due to partial overlapping of laser beams inside the pumped areas of the active element disk.
The output parameters of a disk Nd:YVO 4 laser with a degenerate two-mirror cavity and one-, two-and three-point diode pumping are studied without the use of intracavity spectral selectors. The TEM 00 lasing contained two equal-intensity frequency components with a spectral width less than 6 × 10 −3 cm −1 (<180 MHz) full width at half maximum (FWHM) and a distance between them of 5 × 10 −2 cm −1 (1.5 GHz). The explanation of the nature of the spectrally selective properties of the degenerate resonator is proposed and experimentally substantiated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
