Актуальними напрямами конструктивного й технологічного удосконалення машинотракторних засобів є зниження витрати палива і токсичності відпрацьованих газів. Одним з найбільш ефектив-них заходів зі зниження витрати палива і впливу на екологію є використання комплексного методу повної і часткової деактивації частини циліндрів при експлуатації двигуна внутрішнього згоряння на холостому ходу й малих навантаженнях. Цей спосіб обмежено застосовується на сучасних транс-портних засобах. Однак складність розробки і застосування технічних засобів для його реалізації полягає у відмінностях режимів роботи машинотракторних засобів, специфіки умов експлуатації. Унаведених дослідженнях представлена розробка заходів відключення подачі палива і приводу газороз-подільчого механізму двигуна Д-240 трактора МТЗ-80. Для проведення експериментальних дослі-джень використовували обкатно-гальмівний стенд КИ-5543 з вимірювальними приладами, дизельнийдвигун Д-240 трактора МТЗ-80, димомір «Інфракар Д1» і газоаналізатор «Інфралайт 11P». Для екс-периментальних випробувань були обрані три характерних режими роботи двигуна Д-240 без нава-нтаження й під навантаженням Ne = 0...35 кВт: 1) типовий режим роботи всіх 4 циліндрів; 2) шту-чний режим роботи, що формується за допомогою деактивації подачі палива в 2 циліндрах4-циліндрового двигуна; 3) штучний режим роботи, що формується за допомогою деактивації пода-чі палива в 2 циліндрах і газорозподільного механізму в 2 циліндрах 4-циліндрового двигуна. Встанов-лено, що відключення частини циліндрів дизельного двигуна призводить до зниження витрати паливав середньому на 25−27 %, вмісту сажі і димності відпрацьованих газів на 30−35 %, залежно від ре-жиму роботи двигуна. Наведено залежності годинної витрати палива, витрати повітря, коефіціє-нта надлишку повітря, сажовмісту й димності відпрацьованих газів чотирициліндрового дизельногодвигуна при деактивації частини його циліндрів на різних режимах навантаження.
