Ця оглядова стаття покликана надати оновлену і узагальнену інформацію щодо хламідійних ін-фекцій як свійських, так і диких видів тварин, з акцентом на захворюваннях, які спричиняють ті чи ті види хламідій та їх зоонозного потенціалу. Дати роз’яснення, щодо розширення кола господарів для різних видів хламідій та хламідіє-споріднених організмів. Хламідії надзвичайно розповсюджені по всьому світу, вони викликають широкий спектр захворювань різних органів та систем. Хламідії охо-плюють значне коло хазяїв: найпростіших, членистоногих, риб, птахів, диких тварин худоби, домаш-ніх тварин, людини, тощо. Хламідії добре адаптуються і розмножуються в епітеліальних клітинах слизових оболонок респіраторної системи, сечостатевої системи, системи органів травлення, і в клітинах ретикуло-ендотеліальної системи. Характер патологічних змін, спричинених хламідіями залежить від видів хламідій, їх тропізму та шляху інфікування. Широкий діапазон господарів, що може бути інфікований, та різноманітність клінічних проявів ускладнює стандартизацію діагнос-тичних підходів для цих патогенів. Спостерігається розширення кола господарів для відомих видів та з’являються нові види, що становлять загрозу для здоров’я тварин та людини. Збільшилась і кі-лькість видів, які несуть потенційну зоонозну загрозу, на що необхідно зважати власникам домашніх тварин, робітникам сільського господарства та іншим людям, які мають безпосередній контакті з тваринами. Представлена оновлена й узагальнена інформація щодо хламідійних інфекцій як свійсь-ких, так і диких видів тварин, з акцентом на захворюваннях, що викликають ті чи ті види хламідій та їх зоонозного потенціалу. Надано роз’яснення щодо розширення кола господарів для різних видів хламідій та хламідіє-споріднених організмів. Надана інформація може бути використана в наукових дослідженнях, впроваджена в навчальний процес при підготовці спеціалістів у галузі ветеринарної медицини, а також використовуватися практикуючими лікарями ветеринарної медицини з метою покращення лікування та профілактики хламідіозів тварин та людини.
