Приведены результаты комплексного анализа большого объема фактических материалов, полученных при анализе данных дистанционного зондирования Земли (ДЗЗ) и в ходе экспедиционных исследований 2014-2021 годов ряда объектов катастрофических выбросов газа на Ямале. Показано, что на Ямале бо льшая часть выявленных кратеров (свыше 80%) приурочена к зоне аномального теплового потока в районе Бованенковского месторождения. Обоснована модель процессов формирования залежей газа (газонасыщенных коллекторов и полостей) в массивах подземного льда, многолетних бугров пучения под газодинамическим воздействием, выброса и самовоспламенения газа с формированием гигантских кратеров. Выявлена непрерывная эмиссия газа со дна Сеяхинского кратера и обоснован вулканический механизм газодинамических процессов. Показано, что криолитосфера имеет высокий уровень газонасыщенности и несет значительные угрозы выбросов и взрывов газа естественным путем и при проведении буровых работ. При этом она является практически неисчерпаемым нетрадиционным источником газа, способным обеспечить местные потребности в энергетических ресурсах.
Объектом исследования являлся Центрально-Лаптевский участок, включающий зону интенсивной эмиссии метана через морское дно. В ходе работы проанализированы сейсмические разрезы и отдельные сейсмограммы по 28 сейсмопрофилям общей длиной 5930 км. В результате работы доказаны отсутствие субаквальных многолетнемерзлых пород и газогидратов, а также приуроченность сипов к разрывным нарушениям, уходящим на большие глубины осадочного чехла. Обосновано, что исследованная зона является одной из самых уникальных на мелководном шельфе Арктики. В ней одновременно присутствуют мощный осадочный чехол с высоким нефтегазоматеринским потенциалом, активные сейсмические события и системы тектонических разломов с превалирующим региональным напряжением растяжения. Это привело к образованию крупного окна длительной интенсивной дегазации Земли с прямой миграцией глубинного термогенного газа по системам разломов и субвертикальных трещин.
