The problem of determining the conditional probability densities of resources in a telecommunication network with updating the information contained in requests transmitted over the network is considered. The work developed a mathematical model for calculating the probabilistic resource characteristics of the GERT-network by exponential and normal distributions.
The paper considers the problem of planning the amount of heterogeneous resources in industrial GERT networks with functionally dependent random operations. The main steps of the algorithm for applying linear functional dependencies of random variables in exponential GERT-networks of resources are presented. Examples of calculating the volume of a resource of the same or different types are considered. The results of the output value of the GERT-network obtained by numerical and mathematical methods are compared.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
