The results of the study of working conditions working in electroplating shops. It is shown that the main production factors of working conditions are noise, vibration, dust, gas contamination, relative humidity of air, the severity and intensity of the labor process. The results of the studies have shown that at all workplaces there are exceeding of the permissible values for noise level, the content of harmful substances in the air of the working environment when working directly with the galvanic baths, the relative humidity of the air. It is noted that the work performed on the severity and intensity of the labor process can adversely affect the health of workers.
The classification of production factors of working conditions at the workplaces of the main equipment used in the foundry is given. This classification is developed on the basis of the results of the conducted research and based on the materials given in the domestic and foreign literature. This allows us to evaluate the technological processes and equipment used in the design and reconstruction of foundries (sections) to ensure the most favorable working conditions.
The working conditions of metal fillers, production factors, determining them are considered. The results of the parameters study of metal fillers’ working conditions compared to the standard values are given.
The method of a comprehensive assessment of the working conditions of workers in foundries is given. The main production factors of working conditions are determined and a relative complex indicator is introduced that takes into account the considered factors of working conditions. Correction coefficients for each production factor are determined, taking into account their impact on the human body. The equation for calculating the complex indicator was obtained, which made it possible to establish classes of foundries (sections) according to working conditions. The results of calculations of the complex indicator for noise and total for all production factors in foundries with different production patterns are presented.
The characteristic of infrared radiation, their effect on the human body is provided. The outcomes of the study and calculations of the intensity of infrared (thermal) radiation on workers in foundries are presented. The necessity of compliance with the necessary rules of labor protection, the development of a complex of sanitary, hygienic, therapeutic, and preventive measures to optimize working conditions, the prevention of occupational illnesses is proved. Measures to prevent the unfavorable effects of infrared radiation on workers in foundries have been determined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
