Раніше було виявлено феномен запрограмованого десіалування глікопротеї-нів поверхні клітини під час апоптозу. Проте невідомо, чи може даний процес по-ширюватися на сіаловані гліколіпіди клітини. Для з'ясування можливих змін спект ра глікосфінголіпідів за умов апоптозу було використано гранулоцити периферич-ної крові людини, з яких екстрагували мембранні фракції з подальшою двостадій-ною хроматографією гангліозидів на колонках із ДЕАЕ фрактогелем і Сефадексом LH 20 та їхнім аналізом тонкошаровою і високоефективною рідинною хромато графією. Виявлено, що у процесі старіння гранулоцитів периферичної крові люди-ни in vitro (протягом 24 год) відбувається зростання рівня гангліозидів GM2, GM1 та глобозиду Gb3 одночасно зі зменшенням рівня GM3 і Gb4 порівняно зі свіжовиділе ними клітинами на тлі посилення ознак апоптозу (48-51% клітин проти 0,1-0,2%). Отримані дані свідчать, що гангліозиди, як і N глікани, зазнають змін (десіалуван-ня) при апоптозі клітин людини і можуть слугувати важливими факторами патоге-незу при розвитку автоімунних захворювань.Ключові слова: гангліозиди, апоптоз, десіалування, сіалідази. Хоча у більшості клітин основу глікокаліксу формують глікопротеїни та протеоглікани, а гліколіпіди переважають лише у плазмалемі клітин нервової тканини, проте вони завжди присутні й у інших тканинах і є молекулами посередниками міжклітинних взаємодій у різних тканинах [1]. Одними із ключових сполук у мережі міжклітинних взаємодій є глікосфінголіпіди, серед яких вирізняється клас сіалованих гліколіпі дів -гангліозиди. Останні можуть брати участь у багатьох міжклітинних взаємодіях. Зокрема, вони задіяні у модулюванні активності NK лімфоцитів, взаємодіючи через Biol.
