An efficient and straightforward Brønsted-acid mediated cascade process was developed, involving cyclization of readily available β-ketonitriles into 2-aminofurans, and their subsequent recyclization into 2-(1H-indol-2-yl)acetamides is developed. This synthetic route opens a new avenue for an expeditious assembly of various isotryptamine derivatives for medicinal chemistry.
One-pot procedure combining conjugate addition of Grignard reagents to (2-nitroalkenyl)indoles and subsequent acid-assisted spirocyclization allowed for diastereoselective preparation of 4′H-spiro[indole-3,5′-isoxazoles].
Fine-grained powder crystal phosphors SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ and SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , Al have been investigated. Their photoexcitation, luminescence, and photoconductivity spectra have been recorded. It is found that only one center ( ) is responsible for the luminescence in SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , while the luminescence in SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , Al is due to two centers: ( ) × and . A mechanism of energy transfer upon luminescence excitation from the ( ) × center is proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
