The search for precursors of luminescent biomarkers is carried out among highly luminescent, stable, and soluble lanthanide p‐substituted fluorobenzoates, which were synthesized and thoroughly characterized. Examination of their crystal structure revealed the dependence of the structure on the lanthanide ion and on the separation method, because of the high acidity of the selected compounds. The brightness of the luminescence of the terbium and europium complexes varies significantly with both absorption and photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs), and the latter reaches 62 %.

New dinuclear silver(I) and copper(I) 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazolate compounds were prepared by the reaction of the corresponding trinuclear metal complexes with tertiary phosphines (PPh 3 , PCy 3 ). In the case of copper(I) trinuclear pyrazolate it was shown that the product structure depends on [a] A. N. All the dinuclear complexes obtained exhibit light emission in the solid state under UV irradiation. The observed photoluminescence behavior was confirmed by the TD-DFT study. Scheme 1. A variety of luminescent materials have been considered for this application; however, most of them suffered from certain problems that hampered their practical use; for example, quantum-dot-based inks [1] are toxic, organic dyes [2] have small Stokes shifts, and inorganic lanthanide-based inks [3] have low brightness.Lanthanide coordination compounds (Ln CCs) possess features that predetermine their high potential as security printing dyes, namely, high brightness of luminescence, high thermal and UV stability, low toxicity, and a large Stokes shift. [4,5] As there is a large energy difference between the absorbing state of the ligand and the emitting state of the lanthanide, these materials typically absorb UV radiation and emit in the Vis/IR range. The copper‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition reaction was used for the preparation of a series of bis‐ and tris‐3‐ and 24‐5β‐cholanetriazolyl derivatives of phosphorus acids, which contained anion‐binding triazolium sites and hydrophobic cholane residues. The influence of the location of the triazolium moiety (in 3α‐, 3β‐position) on fluoride‐ion complexation was investigated. The anion‐binding properties of tris(triazolium) ligands were studied for a series of inorganic and organic anions and high complexation constants were observed with fluoride, hydrosulfate, and benzoate anions.

Silver(i) pyrazolate adducts with phenanthroline, neocuproine and bathocuproine exhibit phosphorescence in the solid state. Their photophysical behavior was interpreted using TD-DFT calculations.

The synthesis and characterization of a series of BODIPY derivatives substituted with acyclic and cyclic polyamines, in particular, cyclen and homocyclen, are reported. The 19F NMR, UV/Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopic data of these compounds are discussed. One compound was found to be very selective for CuII ions, which makes it a very promising system for CuII detection.
