ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ: Oι ΔΠΤ αποτελούν ιδιαίτερα σοβαρές ψυχιατρικές διαταραχές καθώς παρουσιάζουν σημαντική σωματική και ψυχική καταπόνηση, έκπτωση της κοινωνικής, εκπαιδευτικής και επαγγελματικής λειτουργικότητας και πτωχή ποιότητα ζωής. Ο σχεδιασμός παρεμβάσεων πρωτογενούς πρόληψης και η έγκαιρη ανίχνευση τους επιβάλλονται. ΣΚΟΠΟΣ: Η μελέτη του επιπολασμού των ΔΠΤ σε μαθητές Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης του βορείου Έβρου, η διερεύνηση των παραγόντων που σχετίζονται με την εμφάνιση διατροφικής δυσλειτουργίας και η στάθμιση του ερωτηματολογίου EDE-Q-6.0. ΜΕΘΟΔΟΣ: Σε 16 σχολεία εφαρμόστηκε ένα πρωτόκολλο δυο φάσεων. Στην πρώτη φάση 2058 μαθητές συμπλήρωσαν τα ερωτηματολόγια της έρευνας, ζυγίστηκαν και μετρήθηκε το ύψος τους. 257 μαθητές συμπλήρωσαν δυο φορές τα ίδια ερωτηματολόγια και επιπρόσθετα ερωτηματολόγια που αξιολογούσαν τους παράγοντες κινδύνου. Στη δεύτερη φάση μια ομάδα μαθητών που χαρακτηρίστηκαν ως "πιθανές περιπτώσεις" και μια τυχαία επιλεγμένη ομάδα μαθητών που χαρακτηρίστηκαν ως "μη-πιθανές περιπτώσεις" υποβλήθηκαν σε διαγνωστική συνέντευξη. ΑΠΟΤΕΛΕΣΜΑΤΑ: Διαγνώστηκαν 19 περιπτώσεις ΔΠΤ. Παρατηρήθηκε ικανοποιητική εσωτερική συνοχή και αξιοπιστία εξέτασης-επανεξέτασης του ερωτηματολογίου EDE-Q-6.0. Στο διαγνωστικό-όριο 2.6125 της συνολικής βαθμολογίας η Ευαισθησία, η Ειδικότητα, η Θετική Προγνωστική Αξία και η Αρνητική Προγνωστική Αξία ήταν 89.5%, 73.1%, 34.7% και 97.8%, αντίστοιχα. Το φύλο, τα μοναχικά γεύματα, ο ΔΜΣ, η δυσαρέσκεια με την εικόνα σώματος και οι κοινωνικό-πολιτισμικοί παράγοντες βρέθηκαν να σχετίζονται σημαντικά με την ύπαρξη διατροφικής δυσλειτουργίας. Ο πιθανός επιπολασμός των ΔΠΤ ήταν 1.96%. ΣΥΜΠΕΡΑΣΜΑ: To EDE-Q-6.0 αποτελεί έγκυρο και αξιόπιστο εργαλείο για την ανίχνευση της διατροφικής ψυχοπαθολογίας. Εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα υγείας που θα απευθύνονται σε μαθητές, γονείς και εκπαιδευτικούς και θα στοχεύουν στην ελαχιστοποίηση των παραγόντων κινδύνου πρέπει να σχεδιαστούν στα πλαίσια της πρωτογενούς πρόληψης.
