ΣκοπόςΣκοπός της μελέτης ήταν ο προσδιορισμός των χαρακτηριστικών της κυματομορφής των οφθαλμικών, αιθουσαίων, μυογενών, προκλητών δυναμικών (oVEMP) σε άτομα χωρίς αιθουσαία συμπτωματολογία, καθώς και η μελέτη της επίδρασης της ηλικίας και του φύλου σε αυτά.Υλικό-ΜέθοδοςΣυνολικά υποβλήθηκαν σε έλεγχο 102 άτομα (204 ώτα) και καταγράφηκαν απαντήσεις σε 100 άτομα (200 ώτα). Σε όλα τα άτομα πραγματοποιήθηκε εκτενής ακοολογικός έλεγχος με μικροσκόπηση του ωτός, τονικό ακοόγραμμα και τυμπανόγραμμα. Τα oVEMP εκλύθηκαν με χρήση ερεθισμάτων tone-burst 500 Hz αέρινης αγωγής. Εξετάσθηκαν οι λανθάνοντες χρόνοι των κυμάτων N1 και P1, το πλάτος των δυναμικών, οι ουδοί έκλυσης και το κλάσμα ασυμμετρίας μεταξύ των δύο πλευρών.ΑποτελέσματαΗ μέση τιμή του λανθάνοντος χρόνου του κύματος Ν1 κυμαινόταν στα 10,28 ± 0,45 ms και του P1 στα 15,76 ± 0,74 ms. Το μέσο πλάτος των δυναμικών N1-P1 ήταν 4,43 ± 2,59 μVolt, η μέση τιμή του ουδού έκλυσης 86,28 ± 4,53 dB nHL και του κλάσματος ασυμμετρίας 4,04 ± 12,96 %. Η σύγκριση των διαφόρων παραμέτρων μεταξύ των δύο φύλων δεν ανέδειξε στατιστικά σημαντική διαφορά. Η σύγκριση μεταξύ του δεξιού και αριστερού ωτός δεν έδειξε στατιστικά σημαντική διαφορά μεταξύ των δύο πλευρών. Τα δεδομένα χωρίστηκαν σε ηλικιακές ομάδες και εξετάσθηκε η επίδραση της ηλικίας σε διάφορες παραμέτρους. Τα μεγαλύτερα πλάτη των δυναμικών παρατηρήθηκαν σε ηλικίες 15-49 ετών. Οι υπόλοιπες παράμετροι δε φάνηκαν να επηρεάζονται στατιστικά σημαντικά από την ηλικία.ΣυμπεράσματαΣτη μελέτη προσδιορίσθηκαν τιμές αναφοράς σε ένα ευρύ ηλικιακό φάσμα φυσιολογικών ατόμων. Η ηλικία φαίνεται να επηρεάζει το πλάτος των δυναμικών, με υψηλότερες τιμές να παρατηρούνται σε νεαρές και μέσες ηλικίες.
