Σχεδιασμός: Δεκαπέντε γυναίκες, 25 – 32 ετών (28,9 ± 2,89, μέσος όρος ± SD) που υποβλήθηκαν σε δωρεά ωαρίων προσλήφθηκαν για αυτήν την προοπτική μελέτη. Οι συμμετέχουσες υποβλήθηκαν σε διέγερση των ωοθηκών με GnRH-ant και ανασυνδυασμένη FSH. Η βιοψία αναρρόφησης του ενδομητρίου πραγματοποιήθηκε την ημέρα της ανάκτησης των ωαρίων και μετά από 5 ημέρες (ημέρες 0 και 5, αντίστοιχα). Η ιστολογία του ενδομητρίου, η αξιολόγηση των υποδοχέων των οιστρογόνων (ER) και της προγεστερόνης (PR) εξετάστηκαν τις ημέρες 0 και 5.Αποτελέσματα: Το ποσοστό αδενικών υποδοχέων ER την ημέρα 0 σχετίζεται με την ηλικία, ου γυναίκες <30 ετών έχουν 100% χρώση ενώ οι >30 ετών 90% (p = 0,014). Συμπέρασμα: Η επιτυχής εμφύτευση συνεπάγεται με συγχρονισμό μεταξύ βλαστοκύστης και ενδομητρίου, το οποίο υφίσταται δομική και λειτουργική αναδιαμόρφωση. Αποδείχθηκε εδώ ότι τόσο το ERα όσο και το PRβ εκφράστηκαν άφθονα τις ημέρες 0 και 5, δείχνοντας σημαντική διακύμανση στα αδενικά και στρωματικά παρασκευάσματα. Η ηλικία φάνηκε να είναι ένας κρίσιμος παράγοντας, δεδομένου ότι υπήρχαν υψηλότερες τιμές αδενικής χρώσης ER στην ηλικιακή ομάδα <30 ετών. Επομένως, η εστίαση στα λειτουργικά χαρακτηριστικά του ενδομητρίου θα παρέχει καλύτερη εικόνα για την επιτυχή εμφύτευση εμβρύου, βελτιώνοντας έτσι τα αποτελέσματα της εξωσωματικής γονιμοποίησης.
