This research aims to know the value of a student worksheet Eubacteria based on scientific approach by experts and practitioners. This research has develop with 4-D models that has been modified consist three stages. The first stages is define, which include analysis of main competency, basic competencies, indicators of competence, and condition of student. The second stage is the design, which consist of data collection in the form of the syllabus, to formulate specific objectives to be achieved, preparing presentation framework. The third stage is develop, which consist of validation by matter expert and education expert, biology teacher responses, and student responses in a small group. The product produced in the form of worksheets Eubacteria based on scientific approach. Student worksheet complied and considered feasible by validation team. Results of the assesment team of matter expert showed an average 93,75% categorized a very good and education expert 92% categorized as very good. Result responses biology teacher got the result 80,21% categorized good. This research aims to: 1) Produce teaching material best practice handbook by implementing the use of Flipbook application as a teaching and learning strategy, validated in the viewpoints of material and learning design; 2) To investigate the effectiveness of using best practice handbook as a teaching material with the implementation of Flipbook application as a teaching and learning strategy. The sample of this study includes Universitas Negeri Medan biology students 2019/2020 in their odd semester currently taking teaching and learning strategy course. The type of Research and Development research is a developed model using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of this study indicate that the value of eligibility by material acquisition experts is 86.21% that very decent criteria and the feasibility value by learning experts is 82.5% that feasible criteria. The effectiveness of teaching materials test was obtained 62.4% that adequately effective category. It can be concluded that the development of teaching materials for handbook best practice using Flipbook strategy course applications is suitable to use in teaching and learning strategies.
This research aims to determine how critical thinking skills and student learning outcome in biology subject (Ecosystem Chapter) and how the relationship between both of them in 1st Grade Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Learning Year 2015/2016. The population in this study is all of 1st grade student in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Learning Year 2015/2016 totaling 390 student. The sampel method is purposive sampling with a sample 40 student. This research is a descriptive study, with a instrument (questionnaire) totaling 31 item about critical thinking skills and 36 item about student learning outcome with data collecting tools. From the analysis of student critical thinking data are categorized enough with 61-76 range limit by 22 student (55%) and student learning outcomes are also categorized enough with (62-77) range limit by 19 students (47,5%). Base on data requirement test known that there is a siqnificant positive relationship between critical thinking with student learning outcomes, but it have low correlation shown by the correlation coefficient percentage where the contribution percentage of 0,014% for critical thinking with student learning outcomes.Keywords: Critical Thinking, Learning Outcomes, Ecosystem
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kegiatan perkuliahan dengan pemberian tugas-tugas yang berkaitan dengan tujuan dari KKNI di Jurusan Biologi Universitas Negeri Medan, khususnya untuk mata kuliah Strategi Belajar Mengajar Biologi (SBM-Bio). Kegiatan melaksanakan tugas-tugas tersebut umumnya dilakukan diluar jam perkuliahan, sehingga dibutuhkan pedoman untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam mengerjakannya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul berbasis 6 tugas KKNI untuk mata kuliah SBM-Bio. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan-tahapan berikut ini: 1). Mengkaji literatur yang relevan; 2). Merencanakan tujuan yang ingin dicapai; 3) Mengembangkan suatu produk awal dari bahan ajar; 4) Melakukan uji lapangan produk awal dari bahan ajar; 5) Memperbaiki produk awal berdasarkan hasil uji lapangan; dan 6) Melakukan uji lapangan dari hasil perbaikan. Hasil validasi untuk aspek materi dan desain dikategorikan sangat valid dengan skor 3.04 (aspek materi) dan 3.20 (aspek desain). Hasil respon untuk data kepraktisan yang diperoleh sudah positif yaitu dengan skor 3.08 dengan persentse 77.01%. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu modul SBM-Bio berbasis 6 tugas yang dikembangakan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.Kata Kunci: Biologi, KKNI, Modul, Penugasan, Strategi Belajar Mengajar,
