7 квітня 2020 року відбувся вебінар, який складався з двох частин, на тему «Пандемія COVID-19 (перша частина). Редакційна політика журналів у сучасному науковому просторі та роль асоціацій редакторів (друга частина)». Подія відбувалася за ініціативи редколегії журналу «Праці Наукового товариства імені Шевченка: Медичні науки» (співорганізатори: Львівський національний медичний університет імені Данила Галицького, Наукове товариство імені Шевченка, Західний науковий центр НАН України та МОН України). У вебінарі взяло участь близько 100 осіб, представники зі Львова, Одеси, Дрогобича, Івано-Франківська, а також з інших країн, з Німеччини, Катару, США, Великобританії. Вебінар відбувався через платформу Zoom, модератором події була Олена Зімба, доцент кафедри внутрішньої медицини №2 Львівського національного медичного університету імені Данила Галицького, учасники мали змогу прослухати цікаві наукові доповіді від провідних епідеміологів, імунологів та інфекціоністів та задати запитання лекторам.Серед спікерів першої частини вебінару, завідувач кафедри епідеміології Львівського національного медичного університету імені Данила Галицького професор Наталія Виноград, яка висвітлила епідеміологічні аспекти пандемії COVID-19, завідувач кафедри клінічної імунології та алергології Львівського національного медичного університету імені Данила Галицького професор Валентина Чоп'як з доповіддю про імунологічні особливості при пандемії COVID-19, завідувач кафедри інфекційних хвороб, професор Олександр Зінчук з висвітленням клінічних проявів, особливостей діагностики та лікування COVID-19.Серед спікерів другої частини вебінару член Всесвітньої асоціації медичних редакторів, професор Університету Бірмінгема (Великобританія) Армен Гаспарян, який висвітлював вимоги до журналів, що індексуються в міжнародних наукометричних базах та роль Асоціацій наукових редакторів в своїй першій доповіді та описував стандарти рецензування наукових статей у другій доповіді. Ця частина вебінару була агломовною.
