Abstruct-Power control is one of the major challenges in radio resource management in wireless CDMA networks. Traditional power control scheme mainly concerts real-time voice services in mobile communications systems. In this paper, we present a new utility function with pricing and propose a economic model using game theory for uplink power control for data services in wireless CDMA networks. Based on the model we propose a synchronous distributed power control algorithm. Numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm. We investigate the pricing factor on the performance of the system. The results show the performance of convergence of the algorithm is satisfactory.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
