Identifying influential spreaders in complex networks has a significant impact on understanding and control of spreading process in networks. In this paper, we introduce a new centrality index to identify influential spreaders in a network based on the community structure of the network. The community-based centrality (CbC) considers both the number and sizes of communities that are directly linked by a node. We discuss correlations between CbC and other classical centrality indices. Based on simulations of the single source of infection with the Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) model, we find that CbC can help to identify some critical influential nodes that other indices cannot find. We also investigate the stability of CbC.
In this paper, we propose a refined term frequency inversed document frequency (TF-IDF) algorithm called TA TF-IDF to find hot terms, based on time distribution information and user attention. We also put forward a method to generate new terms and combined terms, which are split by the Chinese word segmentation algorithm. Then, we extract hot news according to the hot terms, grouping them into K-means clusters so as to realize the detection of hot topics in news. The experimental results indicated that our method based on the refined TF-IDF algorithm can find hot topics effectively.
There is an increasing demand for indoor navigation and localization systems along with the increasing popularity of location based services in recent years. According to past researches, Bluetooth is a promising technology for indoor wireless positioning due to its cost-effectiveness and easy-to-deploy feature. This paper studied three typical fingerprinting-based positioning algorithms -kNN, Neural Networks and SVM. According to our analysis and experimental results, the kNN regression method is proven to be a good candidate for localization in real-life application. Comprehensive performance comparisons including accuracy, precision and training time are presented.
