Hand gesture of rotation, scaling and translation is the key problem of gesture recognition. This paper proposes a gesture recognition algorithm based on Hausdorff-like distance template matching of gesture main direction. Firstly, we segment hand gesture from video stream. Secondly, we calculate the main direction of gesture in the image, and build a 2D rectangular coordinate system. Then, we clockwise divide the gesture into eight sub-image area along the main direction of gesture and calculate the coordinates of target pixel points in each sub-image area in the 2D rectangular coordinate system. Finally, the algorithm of Hausdorff-like distance template matching is used to recognize the final gesture. Experimental results show that this algorithm can achieve real-time correct recognition of gestures in relatively stable light conditions. The overall recognition rate can reach 95%.
Gesture has different speed in the process of movement. To reflect the different speed of the user, this paper presents a gesture speed estimation method. Firstly, we use data glove and camera to establish the relation between the variation of gesture contour and that of gesture speed. Secondly, we build the gesture speed estimation model by stages. Finally, we get the real-time speed of hand motion through this model and complete interactive task. The main innovation of this paper is that we reveal the relation between the gesture contour and speed to lay the foundation for further capture the interaction of user intention. Experimental results indicate that the time cost of our method decreased by 31% compared with freehand tracking based on behavioral models and the 3D interactive system based on our model is of high the user experience.
To balance three-phase loads in distribution network with abundant of single-phase loads, the idea of three-phase adjustment and wiring method is proposed in this paper. Three-phase adjustment controller is designed, and the least load adjustment strategy is proposed, which can adjust the three-phase load to roughly balance automatically. The system can solve the serious three-phase unbalance problem of the lines with single-phase load, which may instead of capacitive compensation in low voltage distribution network. It can improve power quality and reduce network losses.
With the rapid development of motion capture technology, large motion capture databases are established. How to effectively retrieve the motions from huge amounts of motion data has become a hot topic in computer animation. In this paper, we give a survey on current motion capture data retrieval methods and point out some still existing problems at the end.
To analyze the operating orders in distribution network with multi-power supply and prevent mal-operation, the topological analysis algorithm and the logic-based analysis algorithm are proposed in this paper. In the topological analysis algorithm, the procedures of opening and closing breakers, isolating switches, and grounding device are expounded, which are based on the topological information of distribution network. In the logic-based analysis algorithm, the operating orders are analyzed according the collocated logical expressions. It needs abundant of artificial information, but it has strong ability to express. The experimental results show these algorithms can determine the simulating operation orders in short response time.
