Abstract-Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been widely used in many fields. However, it is difficult to detect WSNs performance status directly. Therefore, a reasonable network performance evaluation system can help to detect and maintain the WSN, so as to ensure the normal operation of the wireless sensor networks. However, the current methods for performance evaluation of wireless sensor networks mainly focus on a single subjective evaluation or objective evaluation, with a certain degree of one-sidedness. Therefore, this paper presents an objective and subjective evaluation model based on the entropy weight method and the AHP to evaluate the throughput, packet loss rate and transmission delay of each path of the WSNs synthetically. According to the experimental results, this model evaluates the network quality of each path in the simulation network systematically, which not only reflects the difference of network quality among different paths, but also provides a solid theoretical foundation for network performance optimization and promotion.
