In order to improve the photocatalytic performance of mesoporous titania under visible light, a series of photocatalysts of S and Ag co-doped mesoporous titania have been successfully prepared by template method using thiourea, AgNO3 and tetrabutyl titanate as precursors and Pluronic P123 (EO20PO70EO20) as template. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements, and UV-visible spectroscopy were employed to characterize the morphology, crystal structure, surface structure, and optical absorption properties of the samples. The microcrystal of the photocatalysts consisted of anatase phase and was approximately present in the form of spherical particle. The photocatalytic performance was studied by photodegradation methyl orange in water under UV and visible light irradiation. The calcination temperature and the doping content influenced the photoactivity. In addition, the possibility of cyclic usage of co-doped mesoporous titania was also confirmed, the photocatalytic activity of mesoporous titania remained above 89% of the fresh sample after being used four times. It was shown that the co-doped mesoporous titania could be activated by visible light and could thus be potentially applied for the treatment of water contaminated by organic pollutants. The synergistic effect of sulfur and silver co-doping played an important role in improving the photocatalytic activity.
The situation of career identity and job satisfaction among young hospital pharmacists in Guangdong, China was investigated. A mail-based questionnaire was sent to young hospital pharmacists in Guangdong, China. The questionnaire was designed to obtain information regarding demographic characteristics, career identity and job satisfaction. Pharmacists who were under 35 years old were defined as young pharmacists. Data were analyzed using SAS software. Of the 625 questionnaires mailed, 619 questionnaires, returned from 14 hospitals in Guangdong, were completed and suitable for analysis. Regarding career identity, only about 22% of young pharmacists thought pharmacists have high social status. Less than half of respondents felt pride when they were introduced as pharmacist in social activity. Only about 28% of respondents expected to obtain professional achievement. Only about 11% of respondents would not change profession had they got more work pay from other jobs. Regarding job satisfaction, about 90% of respondents were satisfied with their working environment, utilization of skills and promotion. About 76% of young hospital pharmacists were satisfied with their work pay. The authors concluded that, although the young hospital pharmacists in Guangdong province, China were satisfied with their current job on the whole, they showed low career identity.
Objective: To investigate the perceptions of pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation care among women after radical hysterectomy and to explore ways to improve quality of care. Methods: Thirty-six women who underwent radical hysterectomy at a hospital in southeast China were enrolled via purposive sampling. One-on-one semistructured in-depth interviews were conducted. The texts were analyzed via qualitative content analysis (Graneheim & Lundman). Results: Four themes were attained: serious lack of knowledge of PFD and rehabilitation care; heavy psychological burden; different coping styles to PFD; and great eagerness to receive multiparty support on PFD rehabilitation care. Conclusion: The women had a low cognition of pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation care after radical hysterectomy. Poor awareness of pelvic floor dysfunction among women is one of the reasons they do not ask for support from the society and even from family members. Knowledge of pelvic floor dysfunction should be shared and disseminated to the society to raise public awareness of this medical condition. Moreover, knowledge of medical insurance should be popularized, especially in rural areas in southeast of China. Family-centered care is an important way to support women with pelvic floor dysfunction.
