Cloud Computing is the fundamental change happening in the field of Information Technology. It is a representation of a movement towards the intensive, large scale specialization. On the other hand, it brings about not only convenience and efficiency problems, but also great challenges in the field of data security and privacy protection. Currently, security has been regarded as one of the greatest problems in the development of CloudComputing. This paper describes the great requirements in Cloud Computing, security key technology, standard and regulation etc., and provides a Cloud Computing security framework. This paper argues that the changes in the above aspects will result in a technical revolution in the field of information security.
As semiconductor technology continues to evolve, the chip temperature increases rapidly due to the exponentially growing power consumption. In the meantime, the high chip temperature increases the leakage power, which is becoming the dominate part in the overall power consumption for sub-micron IC circuits. A power/thermal-aware computing technique becomes ineffective if this temperature/leakage relation is not properly addressed in the sub-micron domain. In this paper, we study the feasibility problem for scheduling a hard real-time periodic task set under the peak temperature constraint, with the interaction between temperature and leakage being taken into consideration. Three analysis techniques are developed to guarantee the schedulability of periodic real-time task sets under the maximal temperature constraint. Our experiments, based on technical parameters from a processor using the 65nm technology, show that the feasibility analysis without considering the interactions between temperature and leakage can be significantly overoptimistic.
The emerging wireless vehicular communication technology is intended to improve safety and comfort of transportation systems. Different types of traffic information could be delivered through vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-toinfrastructure communications. This paper proposes a Quality-of-Service (QoS) supported multi-channel MAC scheme for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), which can adaptively tune the contention window for different services at each node, and dynamically adjust the intervals of the Control Channel (CCH) and the Service Channels (SCHs) working in multi-rate. Theoretical model is proposed to obtain the contention window and optimize the intervals based on traffic conditions. Analysis and simulation results show that the proposed MAC is able to help IEEE 1690.4 MAC support QoS services, while ensuring the high saturation throughput and the prioritized transmission of critical safety information.
Feedback from software users, such as bug reports, is vital in the management of software projects. In GitHub, the feedback is typically expressed as new issues. Through filing issue reports, users may help identify and fix bugs, document software code, and enhance software quality via feature requests. In this paper, we aim at investigating some characteristics of issues to facilitate issue management and software management. We investigate the important degrees of behaviors that are related to issues in popular projects to assess the importance of issues in GitHub and analyze the effectiveness of issue labeling for issue handling. Then, we explore the patterns of issue commits over time in popular projects based on visual analysis and obtain the following results: we find that the behaviors that are related to issues play important roles in the GitHub. We also find that the time distribution of issue commits follows a three-period development model, which approximately corresponds to the project life cycle. These results may provide a new knowledge about issues that can help managers manage and allocate project resources more effectively and even reduce software failures.INDEX TERMS Open-source software community, project development model, visual analysis, issue commit, software management.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
