Velia (Cesavelia) buisp. nov. from Hubei Province, China is described, and Velia (Cesavelia) tonkina Polhemus & Polhemus, 2003 is newly recorded from China. In addition, new distribution data for three species of Velia (Cesavelia), V. longiconnexiva Tran, Zettel & Buzzetti, 2009, V. sinensis Andersen, 1981 and V. tonkina Polhemus & Polhemus, 2003 are provided. Photographs of the habitus in dorsal and lateral views, metafemora of males, genitalic structures and habitats, along with a distribution map of this subgenus, are provided.
Fine-tuning self-supervised pre-trained models using pseudolabels can effectively improve speech recognition performance. But, low-quality pseudo-labels can misguide decision boundaries and degrade performance. We propose a simple yet effective strategy to filter low-quality pseudo-labels to alleviate this problem. Specifically, pseudo-labels are produced over the entire training set and filtered via average probability scores calculated from the model's output. Subsequently, an optimal percentage of utterances with high probability scores are considered reliable training data with trustworthy labels. The model is iteratively updated to correct the unreliable pseudo-labels to minimize the effect of noisy labels. The process above is repeated until unreliable pseudo-labels have been adequately corrected. Extensive experiments on Lib-riSpeech show that these filtered samples enable the refined model to yield more correct predictions, leading to better ASR performances under various experimental settings.
Two species of the genus Valleriola Distant, 1904 (Heteroptera: Leptopodomorpha: Leptopodidae: Leptopodinae: Leptopodini) are described as new: Valleriola asiatica sp. nov. from Laos and Hainan Island of China, and Valleriola bui sp. nov. from Laos and Thailand. In addition, Leptopus riparius Hsiao, 1964 is newly recorded for Vietnam, Valleriola javanica Drake & Hottes, 1951 is newly recorded for Laos, and additional records are provided for Leptopus riparius, Valleriola javanica and Valleriola buenoi (Usinger, 1942). Photographs of the dorsal habitus, heads, hemelytra, fore femora, male parameres and live specimens are provided, accompanied by a distribution map for the species of Leptopodini occurring in East and Southeast Asia.
Three species of the genus Perittopus Fieber from Indochina are described as new: P. anthracinus sp. n. from Yunnan of China, P. laosensis sp. n. from Laos and P. trizonus sp. n. from Thailand. Photographs of key female and male characters and male genitalic structures are provided, accompanied by a distribution map for the species of Perittopus occurring in Indochina.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
