The aim of the research was to evaluate phonological awareness of the first grade pupils (N = 143) and to determine whether the start of systematic literacy instruction significantly enhanced this ability. The research is of comparative nature and it was implemented during the months of April and May of the school year 2017/18 in Banja Luka and Nikšić. The research question was: Does learning to read and write accelerate the development of phonological awareness or does development of phonological processing flow relatively independently from the start of a systematic literacy instruction? It has been hypothesized that learning to read and write significantly enhances the development of phonological awareness. Our subsamples are in the school systems according to the curricula which anticipate different start of systematic literacy instruction -in the first, that is, the second grades. We used the phonological awareness protocol as a research instrument. The results of the research indicate that there is a tendency -but not reliable enough evidence -that the start of literacy instruction accelerates the development of phonological processing skills. The results obtained on the tasks that demand deep phonemic awareness (word segmentation task) imply the conclusion that analytical exercises contribute to the development of phonemic awareness regardless of the start of the systematic literacy instruction.
Uvažavajući ključne postavke teorije recepcije, teorije inovativno-razvijajuće nastave i nalaza nekoliko tangentnih istraživanja, razvijene su teorijske osnove recepcije i mikroplanovi obrade književnog teksta u dva modela razvijajuće razredne nastave (nastava različitih nivoa složenosti ‒ NRNS i responsibilna nastava ‒ RN).
The processes and outcomes of literary text reception are determined by the flows and methodical specificities of the traditional and innovative-developing teaching system. Increased intensity of literary text reception can be achieved in the models of developing teaching at a younger school age. Starting from the premises of the reception theory, the theory of innovative-developing teaching and the findings of tangent research, transferable theoretical foundations of literary reception and literary text reception microplans were developed in the models of developing classroom teaching (different complexity levels interactive teaching ‒ DCLIT and responsible teaching ‒ RT). During the one-year experimental-methodical programme, elementary school fifth grade students were adopting literary-artistic texts in the context of one innovative-developing model of classroom teaching (different complexity levels teaching ‒ E1 or responsible teaching – E2), and in the regular teaching of literature. On average, students in the experimental groups (E1 and E2) achieved generally statistically significantly higher scores during the final evaluation of the knowledge of moral qualities and knowledge of human personalities than the students in the control groups (K1 and K2). The obtained findings of the experimental-methodical research can be a significant contribution to the advancement of work on literary text in the teaching practice.
Iako se govorništvo, jezičko stvaralaštvo i verbalna nadarenost mogu učiti i usavršavati u sociokulturnoj sredini u kojoj ličnost egzistira, tom razvoju itekako doprinosi čitanje. Čitanjem književnih tekstova bogati se rječnik i jezička kultura, šire čitalački vidici i podstiče jezička kreativnost. Tokom realizacije jednogodišnjeg eksperimentalnog programa učenici petog razreda osnovne škole recipirali su književne tekstove u kontekstu jednog inovativnog modela razredne nastave i u uobičajenoj nastavi književnosti.
