Rituals and Practices in Participation in New Religious MovementsIn this study, the process of membership to the formations that are described as new religious religious movements, which come to the forefront with a charismatic leader with absolute authority and gathering around a certain ideology, are trying to take their place by challenging traditional religious understandings and institutions. In this respect, it is seen that these movements have been questioned from different aspects and the subject of various some rituals, practices, and symbols while incorporating newly acquired members into the from or influenced by the same or with some variation, as in the practice of baptism. On the other hand, some movements realize their participation in the group with rituals or ceremonies that have their own characteristics. It is also remarkable that some movements attach great importance to beliefs and practices in this direction
