Latar belakang. Stroke iskemik menyebabkan hipoksia jaringan otak dan neuron otak akan rusak. Kemampuan bertahan dan plastisitas yang dimiliki neuron diaktifkan melalui ERK1/2 pathway. Ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur (Vitis vinifera) menginduksi pengeluaran neurotrophic factor yang berkontribusi dalam mekanisme ERK1/2 pathway. Tujuan. Membuktikan bahwa ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur mampu meregenerasi sel saraf pusat baik dinilai dari segi anatomis maupun fungsi fisiologis. Metode. Desain eksperimental murni dengan sampel penelitian adalah hewan model 20 tikus strain Wistar jantan usia 8-10 minggu yang diinduksi stroke dengan cara oklusi arteri karotis interna dan eksterna. Hasil. Perbaikan tersebut dilihat dari empat parameter yaitu skor cylinder test, skor ladder rung walking test, luas infark volume dan jumlah neuron yang rusak. Simpulan. Hasilnya dosis 50mg/kgBB efektif dalam memperbaiki hasil dari keempat parameter.
Introduction: Iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm (PSA) in hemodialysis vascular access puncture site is the most common complication in a patient with ERSD, which needs urgent surgical intervention. This research explained the patients’ characteristics with pseudoaneurysm in vascular access that underwent surgical intervention immediately. Methods: Retrospectively, it reported cases of pseudoaneurysm that underwent immediate surgical intervention in an operating theatre in the emergency department of RS Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Result: Twenty-one patients, whose age range from 26-to 64 years old (mean 46.57 + 12.14 years), have undergone immediate surgical and vascular intervention in an operating theater in the emergency department of RS Dr. Soetomo from 2017 until March 2021. The site of pseudoaneurysm varies from cubiti (90.4%), with signs and symptoms of impending rupture (57.1%), rupture (28.6%), and infected pseudoaneurysm (14.3%). Surgical management such as arterial repair was conducted in 90.4% of cases, and two patients (9.6%) unfortunately underwent takedown AVF. It was found from all 21 cases that nine cases didn’t have vascular access as recommended, leading to repetitive puncture in the same puncture site. Conclusion: Iatrogenic Pseudoaneurysm in ESRD patients on regular hemodialysis is the most common complication that has been treated. The medical staff’s knowledge about recognition and prevention is a crucial factor in controlling this complication

Ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur (Vitis vinifera) mengandung resveratrol, salah satu dari beberapa antioksidan yang mampu melintasi blood brain barrier, mampu menginduksi pengeluaran neurotrophic factor yang berkontribusi dalam mekanisme ERK1/2 pada post stroke. Tujuan. Membuktikan bahwa ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur mampu meregenerasi sel saraf pusat dalam memperbaiki fungsi fisiologis. Metode. eksperimen murni dengan hewan model 30 tikus strain Wistar jantan usia 8-10 minggu yang diinduksi stroke dengan cara oklusi arteri karotis unilateral. 5 kelompok yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, perlakuan dengan ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur 50mg/kgBB, 100mg/kgBB, dan 200mg/kgBB, tikus diberikan ekstrak kulit dan biji anggur dengan berbagai dosis untuk mengetahui responnya terhadap perbaikan sel saraf. Perbaikan dilihat parameter skor ladder rung walking test. Hasil. Rerata selisih skor ladder rung walking test pasca stroke dan pasca sonde pada kelompok perlakuan N, K, Ra, Rb, dan Rc, berturut-turut sebesar 0 ± 0, 0.
