<p>Understanding of system and model of the system are necessary for conducting an analysis of scientific phenomena. One concept in science that requires system is energy. This research aimed to understand how modeling instruction promoted increasing student’s understanding system and model of a system on mechanical energy material. Research was conducted on 30 students of MIA at SMAN 1 Kertosono. The result showed that student’s understanding of the system and model of the system increased significantly. Series of learning in class showed that at every meeting session, student skill increased from novice to expert. They were able to show how important the system explain the mechanism of energy transfer were. Average N-gain 0.32 (medium category) indicated that modeling instruction was good enough to promote student understanding of the system. Moreover, any misconception about energy was able to prevent and overcome by this learning. By learning, student’s skill to solve new problem had changed approaching expert problem solver.</p><p> </p><p dir="RTL">كان فهم أنظمة ونماذج الأنظمة ضروريًا لإجراء تحليل لظواهر العلوم. واحدة من المفاهيم في العلوم التي تتطلب النظام كانت الطاقة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى فهم كيفية تعزيز إرشادات النمذجة فهم الطلاب لأنظمة ونماذج الأنظمة على مواد الطاقة الميكانيكية. أجريت البحوث على 30 طالب من MIA 1 في SMAN 1 Kertosono. أظهرت النتيجة أن فهم الطلاب لنظام ونموذج النظام زاد بشكل كبير. أظهر تسلسل التعلم في الفصل كل جلسة اجتماع ، زادت مهارة الطلاب من المبتدئ إلى الخبير. يمكنهم شرح آلية نقل الطاقة. يشار إلى متوسط N-gain 0.32 (الفئة المتوسطة) أن النمذجة جيدة بما فيه الكفاية لتعزيز فهم الطلاب للنظام. علاوة على ذلك ، كان أي سوء فهم حول الطاقة قادراً على منع هذا التعلم والتغلب عليه. من خلال التعلم ، مهارة الطالب لحل مشكلة جديدة تقترب من حلول المشاكل.</p>
Berbeda dengan level pendidikan menengah lainnya, pembelajaran fisika di SMK Teknik memiliki kewajiban lebih yaitu untuk mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep fisika dalam bidang keahliannya. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman siswa terkait aplikasi konsep suhu dan kalor yang berkaitan dengan komputer. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 36 siswa teknik komputer dan jaringan (TKJ), SMK Al Munawwariyyah Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa telah memahami aplikasi konsep suhu dan kalor yang berkaitan dengan komputer lebih dari 80%. Aplikasi konsep yang telah mereka pahami antara lain persamaan kalor dan maknanya, jenis perpindahan kalor dan dampaknya, dan identifikasi permasalahan komputer yang berkaitan dengan kalor (troubleshooting).
Numeration is a basic ability part of the minimum competency assessment (MCA) that is important in understanding current global information patterns. The main purpose of this study was to determine differences in the numerical competence of students in terms of gender and various difficulties. The case study research was carried out on 91 students of Al Munawwariyyah Vocational School, Kab. Malang. The t test results showed that there were no differences in the numerical ability of boy and girl students. Some difficulties experienced by students in solving numerical problems include comparing two data from diagrams 54.9%, analyzing table data 61.6%, evaluating values on questions based on the table reference 63.8%, and comparing two graphs with the same function 39.6%. It is recommended to do more mature debriefing for students to prepare for the actual numeracy test in the coming year.
This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of modeling instruction based on a system for improving student’s understanding of energy concepts on high school students. This Research was a mixed-method design with an embedded experimental model. The subject of this study was the 62 students of 11th grade, at Senior High School in Nganjuk, Indonesia. Modeling instruction based on system learning could significantly improve students' understanding of concepts better than conventional learning. Based on the calculation of the effectiveness of learning using N-gain obtained for 0.33 (medium or low medium category) for the treatment class and 0.18 (low category) for the control class. It concluded that improved students' conceptual understanding of the treatment class was better than the control class. This research also was identified student’s difficulties especially in differentiating forces and work. Students propensity to use p-prime in solving problems rather than using energy theorems.
The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of discovery learning assisted e-learning in improving mastery of the concept of solution and solution concentration. The research subjects consisted of 19 dressmaking students, Al Munawwariyyah Vocational School, Bululawang, Malang. The results showed that discovery learning assisted e-learning can significantly improve student mastery of concepts with an N-gain average value of 0.63 (high medium) and an effect size value of 0,72 (high medium). Students' skills in applying the theory of solution and the concentration of a solution in the process of coloring cloth with a certain concentration increased. Through the activities of e-learning based discussion forums in the classroom, most students are interested in utilizing the fabric coloring theory in increasing fabric color variations to increase the attractiveness of the products produced. AbstrakTujuan utama pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan e-learning dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep larutan dan konsentrasi larutan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 19 siswa Tata Busana, SMK Al Munawwariyyah, Bululawang, Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan e-learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa secara signifikan dengan nilai N-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,63 (medium tinggi) dan effect size sebesar 0,72 (medium tinggi). Keterampilan siswa dalam mengaplikasikan teori larutan dan konsentrasi larutan pada proses pewarnaan kain dengan konsentrasi tertentu meningkat. Melalui kegiatan forum diskusi berbasis E-learning di kelas, sebagian besar siswa tertarik untuk memanfaatkan teori pewarnaan kain dalam meningkatkan variasi warna kain agar meningkatkan daya tarik produk yang dihasilkan.
