AbstractMuscle strength training in pulmonary rehabilitation of COPD patients: A sistematic review Introduction: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by progressive airflow obstruction, partially or not fully reversible, causing functional impairment. It is also associated with systemic limitations such as peripheral muscle disease; there is evidence that musculoskeletal disorders related to the physical inactivity presents a negative effect on the prognosis of COPD patients. Thus, peripheral muscles training in COPD patients can provide an increase in muscle strength, improving functional capacity and quality of life. Objectives: To identify the devices used for muscle strength training and the effectiveness of the pulmonary rehabilitation program (PRP) in patients with COPD. Method: The study is a systematic review in the databases such as Scielo, Pubmed, Medline and Tripdatabase, with publications from 2005 to 2016. We have selected 24 studies that described the types of equipment used for strength training, and the results of the pulmonary rehabilitation program. Results: Our analysis showed that the most frequent used equipment are the fitness equipment, however, more viable and more versatile options produce the same results, and in all studies, PRP produced significant results.
Recebido em 18/04/2017. Aprovado em 15/09/2017.12 bpm (p < 0.0001). Conclusions: Heart rate measured after 1 minute on 6MWT of healthy subjects approaches the initial HR. Although it has not reached baseline levels, this rapid recovery suggests that it is not necessary to wait 30 minutes for the second test in healthy subjects.
Insomnia is seen as one of the most common sleep disorders, characterized by difficulty in initiating and / or maintaining sleep and by daytime symptoms that impair the occupational functioning, interfering in the daily activities of the individuals, and may even cause physical incapacity. Therefore, the need to evaluate such repercussions becomes important in the search for further clarification on the subject, and the 6-Minute Walk Test (TC6M) is a good evaluation tool. The study will aim to evaluate the functional capacity in adult patients with insomnia assisted in Basic Health Units (BHU) of Divinópolis. The study will be cross-sectional observational, carried out with a consecutive and convenience sample, recruited from BHU in the city of Divinópolis, being approved by the Ethics Committee in Research with Human Beings of the university, protocol number 1,475,521/2016. All patients will be submitted to the 6MWT after being clinically evaluated and responding to the Insomnia Severity Index, requiring the presence of insomnia to perform the same. The 6MWT is a good alternative in the evaluation of functional capacity because it is easy to apply and low cost.
