With the acceleration of urbanization, the urban land area of different spatial scales in China continues to increase, the urban land use efficiency is relatively low, and there are great regional differences. Land is an important material carrier for human production, life, and socio-economic activities. Reasonable measurement of the green utilization efficiency of urban land (Glande) has important theoretical and practical significance for the realization of urban land green use and the formulation of related policies. In this context, based on the publicly available data of 282 China’s cities at prefecture-level and above from 2009 to 2019, this study measures Glande with the Super-SBM data envelopment analysis model. After analyzing the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of Glande, we employ the spatial dynamic Durbin model to analyze the spatial spillover effects. The results showed that: 1) Glande in China shows a fluctuating and rising trend, but it has not reached the effective state; 2) the agglomeration characteristics of urban land green use efficiency are significant, and from a regional point of view, it shows the pattern of western > eastern > central; 3) Glande is the result of the interaction of many factors. In the future, measures should be taken according to urban policies and local conditions, and differential measures should be taken to improve Glande.
Fatty liver production results from the process of overfeeding geese, inducing a dramatic increase in de novo liver lipogenesis. To investigate the alteration of liver metabolites by overfeeding, especially lipid metabolites, and the potential pathways causing these changes, 60 Landes geese at 65 days old were raised in three groups with 20 geese per group, namely, the D0 group (free from gavage), D7 group (overfeeding for 7 days), and D25 group (overfeeding for 25 days). At 90 days old, segments of liver tissue were collected from 10 geese of each group for gas chromatography time-of-flight/mass spectrometry (GC-TOF/MS) analysis. A large number of endogenous molecules in the livers of geese were altered dramatically by overfeeding. In the livers of overfed geese, the level of oleic acid was observed to continuously increase, while the levels of phenylalanine, methyl phosphate, sulfuric acid, and 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde were decreased. The most significantly different metabolites were enriched in amino acid, lipid, and nucleotide metabolism pathways. The present study further supports the idea that Landes geese efficiently produce fatty liver, and potential biomarkers and disturbed metabolic pathways during the process of forming fatty liver were identified. In conclusion, this study might provide some insights into the underlying mechanisms of fatty liver formation.
Inclusive finance is an important development direction in the future of finance. The development of inclusive finance in China’s rural areas has provided valuable experience as well as exposing the various limitations of sustainable development. One of the key reasons for such limitations is the existence of cooperative resistance from multiple parties in the finance system. In this study, relevant data from the World Bank Inclusive Finance Database 2011–2017 and the CBRC Website were selected to analyze the current development level of inclusive finance in China in order to perform longitudinal time and horizontal international comparisons. The article summarizes the Chinese experience with inclusive finance and points out the dilemma of sustainable development. Then, based on the new perspective of synergy, the article breaks down financial institutions by type and provides an analysis of the cooperative resistance among the three major parties considering their behavioral motivations. Finally, we put forward the corresponding countermeasures to the dilemma of the sustainable development of inclusive finance in rural China by numerical simulations.
Purpose Based on a theoretical framework of ambidexterity in technology sourcing beyond organizational and technological boundaries, this study aims to explore how start-ups balance technology sourcing in organizational ambidexterity (TSOA) to produce high venture performance. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire survey is distributed among start-ups in the science and technology park of a university in eastern China, producing a total of 45 valid responses. The fuzzy-set approach to qualitative comparative analysis is used in this study. Findings The findings show that start-ups achieve high venture performance through external technology sourcing (external exploration and exploitation) in the initial stage. In the growth stage, start-ups adopt external and internal technology sourcing (internal exploration and exploitation) to produce high venture performance. The technology sourcing strategy in ambidextrous activity for start-ups is punctuated equilibrium and evolving from the external ambidexterity to internally and externally coordinate ambidexterity at entrepreneurial stages. Originality/value This study creatively adopts configuration-based thinking to investigate how to balance TSOA for high venture performance, extending the literature on technology sourcing and contributing to the balance theory of exploration and exploitation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
