Las empresas son sistemas compuestos por recursos y capacidades; es decir, sistemas con activos tangibles e intangibles. Éstos últimos, los intangibles, son el objeto de esta investigación, la cual se enmarca en una perspectiva exploratoria y cualitativa, la cual busca identificar los activos intangibles asociados a tres factores clave de las organizaciones y de las empresas con orientación al sector turístico cultural: la organización, la mercadotecnia y la satisfacción del cliente como sujeto particular; lo anterior, teniendo como punto de referencia para este estudio, la ciudad de Morelia, en México. La investigación pretende generar conocimiento para dichas empresas y contribuir en los procesos administrativos que aporten competitividad al sector turístico en México. Entre los principales resultados que arrojó el estudio, se encuentra que estas empresas pueden aprovechar mejor los activos intangibles que tienen a su disposición en los tres factores anteriormente mencionados. Como conclusión final, se plantea la importancia que tienen esos activos intangibles en las empresas del sector turístico en México para su mejor desempeño y, de igual forma, se identifica la oportunidad para continuar este estudio de manera empírica con una propuesta de modelo de competitividad turística que permita enriquecer el estado del arte de esta línea de investigación en México.
En el marco de las renegociaciones del Tratado de Libre Comercio y derivado de la imposición de aranceles al acero y al aluminio de Estados Unidos a todos los países incluyendo a México, la represalia de México ha sido imponer aranceles a productos agropecuarios a Estados Unidos. En el presente estudio se determinan y analizan los efectos multiplicadores que existen entre los aumentos de precios en las importaciones del sector agropecuario de México y los demás sectores, el industrial y el de servicios, mediante la Teoría Estructural, y el Modelo de Precios. Se confirma que los impuestos arancelarios a la importación de los productos agropecuarios producen un efecto negativo en los tres sectores económicos del país, es por ello que México debe encontrar una solución a la negociación del TLCAN que beneficie a los tres países involucrados a la brevedad.
La pandemia de Covid-19 ha ocasionado millones de pérdidas humanas y una severa crisis económica en el mundo, por otra parte, ha generado que las empresas en la búsqueda de su supervivencia desarrollaran estrategias innovadoras. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar el comportamiento de las empresas de servicios turísticos a raíz del impacto del Covid-19 en el turismo. El estudio se enmarca en una investigación documental, de tipo cualitativa y exploratoria, en el sentido en que el impacto del Covid-19 es un suceso que todavía no ha finalizado y los primeros estudios al respecto son recientes. Los principales hallazgos de la investigación fueron que existen capacidades que desarrollaron las empresas del sector turístico con la finalidad de superar la crisis sanitaria. Dentro de estas capacidades se encuentran el aprendizaje y resiliencia organizacional, capacidades dinámicas, así como protocolos de higiene y seguridad para recobrar la confianza del turista. Otro impacto positivo de la crisis es la adaptación de capacidades tecnológicas en el servicio al turista. Como conclusión final se plantea la importancia de estudiar las capacidades de resiliencia en las organizaciones y de igual forma, se identifica la oportunidad para continuar este estudio de manera empírica. Por ello se establece una propuesta de modelo de capacidades de resiliencia en el sector turístico.
El impacto del uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en el sector turístico y la utilización de la red social Facebook, por parte de los turistas, es cada vez mayor, lo que ha llevado a que la reputación digital sea hoy en día un activo intangible de gran valía para el sector hotelero. La digitalización ha transformado el proceso de toma de decisiones de los turistas, la forma en que buscan información, consideran y evalúan servicios de hospedaje, y realizan reservaciones o compras en línea. En esta investigación se presenta cómo se configura el sector hotelero de México de acuerdo al Sistema de Clasificación Hotelera (SCH) que permite a la Secretaría de Turismo (SECTUR) en México asignar a los hoteles una categoría representada por estrellas. También se muestra la calificación que hacen los usuarios de Facebook en las páginas de los hoteles registrados en el SCH para establecer la correlación entre estos mecanismos de evaluación que representan reputación. Además, a partir de la propuesta de Floreddu y Cabiddu (2016), se realiza un análisis netnográfico de la estrategia de comunicación digital del sector hotelero en México. La investigación permite confirmar la importancia de la reputación digital en el sector hotelero y la falta de una estrategia comunicativa en el manejo de la red social Facebook al ser utilizada por la mayoría de los hoteles como un canal más de comunicación sin priorizar lo social del medio.
