Bogor Regency is one of the areas that has the potential to develop Robusta coffee with a productivity of 875 kg/ha. The involvement of marketing agencies that carry out marketing functions results in differences the price of Robusta coffee. This study aims to find out how the condition of the marketing channel, the implementation of marketing functions, and the efficiency of the marketing channel for Robusta coffee in Bogor Regency. This study took a sample of 50 farmer respondents using purposive sampling method and 12 marketing agencies using snowball sampling method. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative for channels and functions of marketing agencies. Quantitative analysis methods for calculating marketing margins, farmer's share, profit and cost ratios, and marketing efficiency are then described qualitatively. The results showed that there were two types of marketing channels for Robusta coffee in Bogor Regency, namely general and special marketing channels. What distinguishes it is the treatment given to the green beans produced. General marketing channels consisting of marketing channels 1, 2, and 3 originate from random quotations, while special marketing channels consisting of marketing channels 4 and 5 originate from red quotations. Relative efficiency in general marketing channels is in marketing channel 3 with the smallest margin value and marketing efficiency level, while in special marketing channels is in marketing channel 4 and also the dominant marketing channel. Adoption of technology, infrastructure improvements, and optimizing the existence of farmer groups are inputs for maximizing the quality and quantity of green beans.
INDEKS KEPUASAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PROGRAM POSDAYA Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: menganalisis pola pendampingan Posdaya; menganalisis kepuasan Posdaya terhadap pola pendampingan; dan menganalisis tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap unsur-unsur pen- dampingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan Posdaya telah cukup mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pengurus dalam mengelola dan memajukan Posdaya. Berdasarkan analisis tingkat kesesuaian, pengurus menilai bahwa unsur-unsur atau atribut-atribut pendampingan memiliki tingkat kesesuaian yang tinggi. Pada pengurus, program-program yang dilaksanakan (pendidikan, kesehatan, ekonomi, dan lingkungan) memiliki tingkat kesesuaian yang cukup sampai tinggi, sementara pada anggota tingkat kesesuaian berada pada kategori sedang sampai tinggi. Analisis Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) menunjukkan pengurus puas terhadap pola pendampingan yang dilakukan, sementara anggota berada pada kategori cukup puas. The study reveals that Posdaya Community Development able to increase the management performance in managing and developing Posdaya to be better. According to adjustment analysis, the management considers that the elements or attributes of accompaniment has a high level of adjustment. The programs that are implemented (education, health, economic, and environmental) for the management, has a high sufficient level of adjustment, while for the member, the level of adjustment in the category of moderate to high. Customer satisfaction index analysis reveals that the management satisfied with the implementation of community development, while the member in the category of moderate. This study aims to analyze the production cost structure and to measure the profitability of three types of smallholder pig farming, namely farrow-to-finish, pig-finishing, and pig-nursery in Indonesia. This study employed the data from the Statistics Indonesia-Livestock Business Household Survey (ST2013-STU). The measurement of profitability was carried out by calculating the profitability of three types of pig farming business using the adapted enterprise budgeting method. Based on the production cost structure, the percentage of pig feed costs accounted for more than 70% of the total cash of the three types of pig farming. The percentage of unpaid labor costs is more than 50% of the total non-cash. Based on the measurement results of the profitability indicators, it can be shown that the pig-finishing type has the highest profitability among the three types of smallholder pig farming. Government policies are needed to increase pig farmers' access to financing and better pig farming technology.
<p>The participation of women in the agricultural sector has increased in the last two years, attributed to the population growth and household economy. Therefore, this research examined the internal and external factors to the women farmers’ participation. This research was conducted in Situ Gede Village, West Bogor Sub-district, Bogor City and involved women farmer group consisting of 36 members. The primary data were gathered by interviewing respondents using a questionnaire, while the secondary data were obtained from literature review and various related institutional sources. The data were examined using the Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation analysis to investigate the relations between the internal and external factors to women farmers’ participation. The results of this study have revealed the internal factors related to women farmers’ participation, such as age, farm experience and decision making<strong>.</strong> Meanwhile, the external factor related to the participation of women farmers is the access to counseling, meaning that some of these aspects need to receive the government’s attention, especially in terms of access to education related to the counseling method, time and substance of counseling.</p>
