The increase in the carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere, which enhances the greenhouse effect and leads to climate change, is the fundamental scientific problem of nowadays. Modern approaches to fertility management technologies of acid soils based on the principles of resource conservation and environmental safety are presented. They are based on the results of the study of carbon dioxide emission intensity, humus status, and crop rotation productivity in a classic long-term agricultural experiment under the influence of long-term use of various fertilizer systems with the application of ameliorant doses calculated by pH buffering capacity and hydrolytic acidity. The organo-mineral fertilizer system with the addition of 10 t of manure per ha of crop rotation area + N65P68K68, liming with a CaCO3 dose calculated according to pH buffering capacity (2.5 t/ha) contributes most to the optimization of soil processes. At the same time, it ensures the rational use of fertilizers and ameliorants, preservation of fertility, optimizes the processes of humus formation and carbon dioxide release. A high level of productivity of Albic Stagnic Luvisols forms under these conditions – 7.38 t/ha of grain units. Application of 1.0 and 1.5 lime norms calculated according to soil hydrolytic acidity with organic-mineral and mineral fertilizer systems on Albic Stagnic Luvisols in a short four-field crop rotation is not only a high-cost measure. However, it causes significant carbon loss in the form of CO2 due to additional mineralization. It is accompanied by calcium leaching and creates environmental problems in the conditions of the periodic washing-off water regime. Therefore, liming by CaCO3 dose calculated according to acid-base buffering capacity should be carried out before each of the following rotations in order to harmonize the environmental and productive functions of Albic Stagnic Luvisols in the short crop rotation. The obtained research results will be used to improve the methodology for determining carbon dioxide emissions and predicting the effect of various fertilizer and liming systems on its balance in the soil.
Diagnostics of such important feature as the structure of soil cannot be based only on field studies of the morphology of the soil profile, but primarily should be supported and logically substantiated by analytical laboratory research. During the research process was chosen the optimal and available sieve method of modifying of N.I. Savinov, which results indicate the ratio of aggregates of different sizes and their water resistance in soil. To establish how the size of structure affects the properties and mode of soil and whether it is resistant to water movement and strong mechanical load. Are highlighted the study results of structural and aggregative state of light gray forest surface gleyed soil in fallow land and variants of 50-year-long agricultural use. It is established that the inclusion of soil in farming without fertilization and in systematic mineral fertilization promotes the formation of mezoaggregates, but also leads to significant powdering of them, which is confirmed by the morphological diagnosis of soil profile and poor water resistance. The structural condition of arable layers both of the control without fertilization and the variant of mineral fertilization by the amount content of agronomically valuable aggregates is better in comparing with the fallow (39, 6), and this is 55.1 on the control and 52.0 in the variant of only making mineral fertilization. The coefficient of structuring is 1.23% and 1.08% accordingly against 0.66% in fallow. These results can be connected, first of all, with feature of size distribution of light gray forest soil, which should be considered in their study.

Partyka T., Olifir Yu., Havryshko O., Turchak I. Dynamics of mineral forms of nitrogen of light gray forest surface-gleyed soil under long-time anthropogenic impact The article presents results of the researches, obtained in the classical stationary experiment, concerning the influence of long-term application of different fertilization systems and periodic liming on the dynamics of mineral forms of nitrogen in light gray forest surface-gleyed soil under winter wheat. The nitrogen fertilizer efficiency in agroecosystems remains low. Only about 50 % of nitrogen is used for crop production during the growing season. The undigested nitrogen poses a risk of environmental pollution. The content of mineral nitrogen in the soil is one of the most important factors influencing both high crop yields a...
