Resumo O trabalho que segue tem por objetivo apresentar uma leitura complementar à canônica obra da Psicologia Social Crítica brasileira A estória do Severino e a história da Severina: um ensaio de psicologia social. Chamamos de leitura complementar a articulação de alguns temas comuns às teorias críticas da sociedade com essa obra. Nosso foco recai sobre a compreensão da transformação da personagem em forma-personagem. Para nós, tal transformação assemelha-se à proposta de Marx em O capital quando analisa a transformação da mercadoria em forma-mercadoria. O conceito de fetichismo aparece como elemento chave em nossa leitura, pois é a partir dele que podemos entender como a personagem se transforma em mercadoria no “mundo administrado”. Assim, a noção de reificação de Lukács, também, é cara a nossa análise complementar. Por fim, buscamos apontar elementos para algumas outras interpretações possíveis do texto e, ao mesmo tempo, homenagear a grandeza dessa obra.
