O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as dinâmicas e fatores que levam ao desenvolvimento de processos erosivos no ambiente urbano, utilizando como exemplo um estudo caso no bairro Jardim Sabará em Presidente Prudente. Neste local, a construção da Avenida Elson Neris da Silva, em 2018, para ligar as Avenidas Ana Jacinta e Manoel Goulart, teve como consequências ambientais a degradação da área de encosta, pela supressão da cobertura vegetal, e o manejo inadequado do solo, além do desmatamento promovido pelo proprietário do terreno no entorno da área em estudo. Como parte da proposta da disciplina de Projeto de Integração Disciplinar 1, os resultados deste trabalho foram apresentados para os alunos do 7° ano da Escola Estadual Mirella Pesde Desidere em Presidente Prudente, cuja proximidade com o local em estudo foi determinante. Com isso, através da exposição de uma aula dialógica e realização de experimento didático, foi possível demonstrar a relação entre o homem e a natureza através da alteração das dinâmicas naturais, com especial destaque para os processos erosivos, ressaltando, deste modo, a importância da educação ambiental e preservação do meio ambiente.
