Items from retired operational forms are often used to construct abridged test forms for potential test-takers to experience the types of items that will appear on the operational test. This task is different from the typical test assembly problem because the items are selected from a small pool. Furthermore, multiple forms are to be assembled with more than one reference form. The goal of this study is to provide an effective solution for assembling abridged practice forms.
