Two new copper(II) complexes with imidazole-4-carboxylate and imidazole-4-dithiocarboxylate have been synthesized. The monomeric units are connected by NH···O=C and NH···S=C intermolecular hydrogen bonds, respectively, yielding one-dimensional chains that stack with unusually short π–π distances.
A new nickel tubular framework compound, [Ni(ima)2(MeOH)2]·2MeOH (where ima = 4-imidazoleacetato) has been synthesized, in which the nonmethanolated complex, [Ni(ima)2], selectively reacts with methanol to reconstruct the initial porous framework, which can then incorporate other guest molecules.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
