Spirituality is a harmonious relationship between man, nature and God. Spirituality has dimensions that provide power when facing emotional stress, physical illness and death and affects human life in every stage of its development, including the elderly. One of the issue often faced by the elderly is associated with their preparation in the face of death and one of the factors that affect is spirituality. The purpose of this research was to describe the spiritual health and readiness of the elderly to face of death, both the elderly who were in Panti Wredha Salib Putih Salatiga and the elderly who lived with her family in Getasan. This study used qualitative research methods with descriptive phenomenology approach and comparative study design. Participants in this study amounted to 6 participants, 3 participants who stay at home and 3 participants who stay at home with their family. The results showed that spiritual health is affected by the meaning of life, the concept of religion and divinity, social interaction, the concept of healthy and illness, well-being and spirituality, as well as readiness to face death. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO) pada tahun 2013, proporsi populasi penduduk berusia lebih dari 60 tahun adalah 11,7% dari total populasi dunia dan akan terus meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan usia harapan hidup. Jumlah lansia tahun 2009 telah mencapai 737 juta jiwa dan sekitar dua pertiga dari jumlah lansia tersebut tinggal di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Psychosocial Response and Strategy Coping of Stroke Patient in Ambon Cultural Context. Stroke is the dissolution of blood flow to the brain, due to the rupture of blood vessels or blockage of blood vessels to the brain. Stroke results in paralysis, sensory disorders, activity disorders, mental changes such as impaired thinking, awareness, concentration, impaired communication, and emotional disturbance. These changes require the ability of individuals to overcome these problems. This ability is known by the term strategy coping. In general, the known strategy of coping is problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping. As part of the behavior, psychosocial responses and coping strategies influenced by culture. This study aims to describe the psychosocial response and coping strategy of stroke patients in the context of the culture in Ambon. The method in this study is a qualitative phenomenology approach. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews. The participants in this study were four people. Result obtained four themes: (1) physical changes, (2) independence in carrying out activities, (3) psychosocial responses, and (4) coping strategies in a cultural context. Physical changes experienced by participants due to stroke give rise to maladaptive and adaptive psychosocial responses. The coping strategies used to overcome the problem are emotional coping and focus coping issues that are influenced by Ambon culture.
Dalam proses belajar, mahasiswa membutuhkan motivasi karena dapat mendorong dirinya untuk lebih giat belajar. Motivasi belajar mempunyai pengaruh terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar. Selain memperoleh indeks prestasi yang baik mahasiswa juga diharapkan mampu mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilannya melalui kegiatan berorganisasi. Terdapat dua tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keaktifan mahasiswa dalam berorganisasi dan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar, dan hubungan antara keaktifan berorganisasi, motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar dengan status kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik yang aktif di Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas dan atau Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas selama 1 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian asosiatif, dengan teknik Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 16 responden terdapat 40,0% mahasiswa aktif berorganisasi, 50,1% mahasiswa memiliki motivasi berprestasi dan 55,5% mempunyai status kesehatan mental yang tinggi. Selain itu penelitian ini memperlihatkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap (1) keaktifan berorganisasi dan motivasi berprestasi (2) motivasi berprestasi dan status kesehatan mental terhadap mahasiswa FISIP yang menjadi pengurus BEMU dan atau BEMF di UNCEN PAPUA
