ÖZETBu araştı rma, Avrupa Badminton Şampiyonası'na katı lan Türkiye, Avusturya, Belçika ve Macaristan ulusal erkek takım sporcularının fi ziksel ve fi zyolojik özelliklerini karşılaştı rmak amacını taşımaktadır. Çalışmaya, her ulusal takımdan yaşları 14-16 aralığında değişen 4'er erkek sporcu olmak üzere toplam 16 gönüllü dahil edilmişti r. Araştı rma kapsamında katı lımcıların, bazı fi ziksel ve fi zyolojik parametrelerine ait (boy uzunluğu, vücut ağırlığı, zorlu vital kapasite (FVC), zorlu ekspirasyon volümü (FEV1), sistolik ve diastolik kan basıncı, isti rahat nabzı, dikey sıçrama, vücut yağ yüzdesi, esneklik, bacak ve el kavrama kuvveti ) ölçümler yapıldı. Avrupa Badminton Takım Şampiyonası'na katı lmış tüm ülke sporcularının ortalama yaşları 15,63±0,62 yıl, vücut ağırlık ortalamaları; 67,68±5,83 kg, boy uzunluk ortalamaları ise 177,00±7,08 cm olarak tespit edildi. Diğer yandan; söz konusu takımlarda badmintona başlama yaş ortalamasının 6,9 yıl olduğu ve takımların haft anın yaklaşık 5,5 günü ve günde 2 kez olmak üzere toplam 3 saat kadar antrenman yaptı kları belirlendi. Araştı rma sonuçlarına göre; Avusturya-Macaristan ve Avusturya-Belçika takımları arasında haft alık antrenman sıklığında (gün) (P<0,01), Macaristan-Avusturya takımları arasında badminton yaşlarında (yıl), Türkiye-Macaristan takımları arasında isti rahat diastolik kan basıncı, Macaristan-Belçika takımları arasında bacak kuvveti değerlerinde istati sti ksel olarak anlamlı farklılık görülmüştür (P<0,05). Diğer ölçüm değerlerinde istati sti ksel olarak anlamlı bir fark görülmemişti r (P>0,05). Sonuç olarak, Avrupa Badminton Şampiyonası'na katı lan erkek milli takım sporcularının yukarıda belirtti ğimiz bazı farlılıklarla beraber, genelde benzer fi ziksel ve fi zyolojik özelliklere sahip oldukları belirlendi.
