Ash fusibility is
closely associated with ash slagging, which has
great significance on efficiency and cleanliness of thermal conversion
and coal utilization. Not being a dominant component of coal ash,
Na2O is believed to be an inducement for slagging problems.
In this study, for the realization of better understanding of the
underlying mechanisms, the influence of Na2O on the ash
fusibility was investigated from the perspectives of content variation
and temperature rising. Experimental approaches, such as ash fusion
temperature (AFT) test, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electronic
microscope (SEM), were applied to quantify the ash fusibility and
detect minerals’ transformation and surface morphology in ash
melting. The ash melting process was simulated by a multicomponent
system based on the FactSage database, which includes SiO2–Al2O3–Fe2O3–CaO–Na2O. This study also used Gibbs free
energy theory to analyze the chemical reactions, mineral behaviors,
and phase diagram and record the sodium migration in the melting process.
In general, Na2O reduces the fusion temperatures of ash
samples, which can be related to the performances of minerals albite,
nepheline, and anorthite, as well as the eutectics they form.

Abstract:Electric grid investment demand analysis is significant to reasonably arranging construction funds for the electric grid and reduce costs. This paper used the panel data of electric grid investment from 23 provinces of China between 2004 and 2016 as samples to analyze the influence between electric grid investment demand and GDP, population scale, social electricity consumption, installed electrical capacity, and peak load based on co-integration tests. We find that GDP and peak load have positive influences on electric grid investment demand, but the impact of population scale, social electricity consumption, and installed electrical capacity on electric grid investment is not remarkable. We divide different regions in China into the eastern region, central region, and western region to analyze influence factors of electric grid investment, finally obtaining key factors in the eastern, central, and western regions. In the end, according to the analysis of key factors, we make a prediction about China's electric grid investment for 2020 in different scenarios. The results offer a certain understanding for the development trend of China's electric grid investment and contribute to the future development of electric grid investment.
In order to get detailed characteristics of intermittent current pulses due to positive corona such as the repetition rate of burst-pulse trains, the peak value ratio of the primary pulse to the secondary pulse, the number of pulses per burst, and the interval of the secondary pulses, a systematic study was carried out in a coaxial conductor-cylinder electrode system with the conductor electrode being set with a discharge point. Empirical formulae for the number of pulses per burst and the interval of the secondary pulses are first presented. A theoretical model based on the motion of the space-charge clouds is proposed. Analysis with the model gives explanations to the experimental results and reveals some new insights into the physical mechanism of positive intermittent corona.
