Integrative medicine (IM) has attracted worldwide attention in recent years. From the perspective of art therapy, there will be some changes in art in hospitals, medicine, medical practice and medical education. Authors have developed art in hospitals using masking tapes. Originally, hospitals and museums have a lot in common. There is professional in the museum, a curator which is from the Latin word curare, meaning care. Through interactive viewing, natural empathy would be obtained for the feelings and thinking of other people. Empathy would be a high-level "caring" in the clinical setting associated with stable logic and objectivity
In the Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and Integrated Medicine (IM), hydrotherapy and balneotherapy have been important treatment. They have several pleiotropic effects, such as thermal effects, buoyancy, hydrostatic pressure, viscous resistance and chemical effects. There is clinical efficacy to various diseases or states, including neck pain, low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, Parkinson disease, and so on. New trial with health promotion strategy with balneotherapy has been reported along World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy.
| http://medcraveonline.com program, which includes restoring and maintaining optimal each health, and reducing the risk of heart problems in the future. 2 Patients with heart problem usually enter cardiac rehabilitation after acute coronary events including myocardial infarct, coronary artery bypass surgery associated with heart failure. 3 There are comparative study between home-based and center-based cardiac rehabilitation. 4 For cardiovascular system, the cardiac autonomic nervous system (ANS) has been a crucial factor in physiological and pathological responses. 5 ANS always regulates various functions such as heart rate, blood pressure and vasoregulatory responses in our routine lives. These regulations are involved in two axes, which are the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). These impaired regulations such as stress, aging, organic and other causes would lead to various cardiovascular pathology. They include hypertension, arrhythmia, ischemic heart disease and congestive heart failure. 5 Cardiovascular patients often have persistently increased sympathetic activity. 6 This state contributes to the attenuation of parasympathetic nerve activity and the occurrence of heart failure and arrhythmia. From the above, in order to prevent the onset and progression of cardiovascular diseases, it is very important to improve the balance of the autonomic nervous system. 6 On the other hand, there have been a category of music therapy (MT), which is one of the Integrative Medicine (IM) and Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). 7 IM and CAM have been developed and prevalent across the world, with a variety of treatments. 8,9 The authors have continued various activities concerning IM and CAM as the Shikoku division of the Integrative Medicine Japan (IMJ). We are music therapists and pianists and reported the efficacy of music therapy in several opportunities. 10 Among a variety of types of therapies in the category of IM and CAM, MT seemed to be one of the most popular and acceptable treatments by every person. The reason would be that it can be understood by heathy people, clients, patients with health problems and various diseases. 11
Music has beneficial power physically and psychologically. Among Integrative Medicine (IM), music therapy (MT) has been useful, and authors have continued research for IM, MT, and piano-playing. Most pianists do not consider the movement of their fingers, because the memorized process is transformed into automatic action. The function may involve the neural signals from the superior parietal lobule to the primary motor area and dorsal premotor cortex, which is called the sensory-motor transformations. The supplementary motor area (SMA) in the frontal lobe seems to be involved in the function of beat-based timing, expression, and activity of musical behavior.
Integrative Medicine (IM) and Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) have been gradually prevalent. Authors are involved in IM, CAM, music therapy and pianoplaying. Perspectives of the brain mechanism for piano playing are described. Responsible of area in the brain include primary motor cortex (M1), dorsal pre-motor cortex (dPMC), ventral pre-motor cortex (vPMC), primary somatosensory cortex (S1), superior parietal lobule (SPL), inferior parietal lobule (IPL). Various integrated images and music are created and preserved, and then data will be changed into motion and playing the piano by the mechanism of sensory-motor transformations. Further research development concerning these will be expected.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
