Xanthene derivatives R 0360Fluoroboric Acid Adsorbed on Silica-Gel-Catalyzed Synthesis of 14-Aryl--14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthene Derivatives. -The title compounds (III) (25 examples) are easily and efficiently obtained by the one-pot condensation of β-naphthol and various arylaldehydes under mild and solvent-free conditions. The inexpensive catalyst can be easily recovered and reused without loss of its catalytic activity. -(LIU, Y.-H.; TAO, X.-Y.; LEI, L.-Q.; ZHANG*, Z.-H.; Synth. Commun. 39 (2009) 4, 580-589; Coll. Chem. Mater. Sci., Hebei Norm. Univ., Shijiazhuang 050016, Peop. Rep. China; Eng.) -H. Toeppel 31-136
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
