The article generalizes the extensive experience of the personal sectional work of the authors, as well as the analysis of archival material for the diagnosis of deaths by strangulation asphyxia. An objective assessment of developmental anomalies, resuscitation and post-mortem changes, the frequency of their occurrence, the results of the incorrect actions of experts, leading to a false diagnostics of the specific and the general signs of asphyxia. The presented information allows to avoid errors in diagnostics.
On the example of practical observation, the basic principles of forensic medical assessment of the therapeutic and diagnostic process are shown in case of suspicion of improper provision of toxicological care in the case of ethylene glycol poisoning.
