O copolímero de etileno-acetato de vinila (EVA) é um copolímero termoplástico, de caráter elastomérico, constituído de monômeros de eteno e acetato de vinila. Na forma de espumas, tem sido amplamente utilizado na indústria calçadista, especialmente em palmilhas. Para a fabricação de uma espuma de EVA, os principais aditivos utilizados são a agente de reticulação e de expansão. A geração do resíduo da indústria calçadista, especificamente, o copolímero de etileno e acetato de vinila (EVA), está relacionada ao processo de produção de solas, entressolas e palmilhas dos calçados. Dessa foram, o objetivo desse trabalho é estudar a influência da concentração de agente reticulante e resíduo de EVA nas propriedades de placas expandidas de EVA, buscando compreender as modificações que cada um exerce nas propriedades finais do material. As amostras foram preparadas em misturador bunbury a 120ºC por 4 minutos e posteriormente homogeneizadas em cilindro misturador aberto por 2 minutos e moldagem das placas de EVA foi realizada por prensagem térmica a 165ºC. As amostras expandidas foram caracterizadas por ensaios físicos (densidade) e mecânicos (deformação permanente por compressão e dureza), além de ensaio reológico. Resultados da reometria mostram que com a adição de resíduo de EVA e o aumento da concentração de agente reticulante nas amostras ocasionou um aumento da viscosidade do material durante o processamento. A adição de resíduo e aumento da concentração de peroxido ocasionou em um aumento da dureza e densidade das amostras, o aumento da densidade influenciou em valores menores de DPC.
