Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasikan potensi kepariwisataan Pantai Oetune yang menghasilkan rekomendasi pengembangan dan perbaikan kualitas, serta untuk mengetahui faktor paling berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan potensi sesuai dengan ekspektasi wisatawan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif kuantitatif dengan fokus penilaian berdasarkan ekspektasi wisatawan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil pengambilan data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan perhitungan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa destinasi wisata alam Pantai Oetune memiliki potensi sebagai berikut: 1) Keaslian/kealamian sebab kawasan pantai masih alami dan belum didesain ulang; 2) Keindahan yaitu variasi pandangan, kerindangan tepi pantai dan keserasian dengan lingkungan; dan 3) Keunikan berupa gumuk pasir, sabana dalam kawasan, gradasi warna laut, bentangan luas dan variasi pemandangan. Pengembangan potensi yang sesuai dengan ekspektasi wisatawan yaitu tetap menjaga serta melestarikan kealamian/keaslian, keindahan pantai dan tersedianya amenitas. Faktor paling berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan potensi Pantai Oetune adalah faktor lingkungan yang. merupakan daya tarik utama terjadinya aktivitas berwisata.
The target of this research is to figure out the state of practice and transmission of Batik, an Indonesian textile dyeing Intangible Cultural Heritage, and necessary angles for its conservation. Knowledge related to Batik is shared and transmitted in craftspeople communities in Wukirsari Village, which is one of Batik centers in Indonesia. What’s more, Batik cloth production organizations play an essential role in the transmission of Batik technique through creating job opportunities, establishing selling systems and so on. Apart from that, these organizations also hold mutual aiding activities, which build strong relationship among craftspeople and support daily life of craftspeople financially. So it is can be concluded that 3 points are necessary for the transmission of Batik culture: building a knowledge-sharing environment, making Batik practice an occupation, offering values beyond financial benefits.
Elements of settlement spatial layout (physical aspect) and community’s social-cultural life with any rites (non-physical aspect) are still performed by some people in Baluwarti Settlement until today, leading to a distinctive peculiarity. It is this peculiarity that makes Baluwarti Settlement environment located inside the court (palace) different from other settlements (outside the court) in Surakarta. Considering the qualitative research paradigm and historical reading method, this research could find out that the spatial layout concept of Baluwarti Settlement namely Tri Hanakara. In which the kings reigning after Paku Buwana III constructed this Baluwarti settlement to forward the previous King’s wish.
The background of Baluwarti settlement establishment derived from formal bond between people (kawula) and the court. This formal bond can be status of abdi dalem (giving service to the king/court) with title or kekancingan from the King. Dwelling was classified by status, role, and grade of respective dwellers. Thus, Baluwarti settlement is believed to have typical spatial layout because it was constructed with the Court’s traditional and cultural value concepts remaining to be visible today. Based on qualitative research paradigm and historical reading method, this research could see that the spatial layout of Baluwarti Settlement is circling or going around kedhaton concentrically. Single orientation faces to kedhaton . This form has a spatial function as defense and security system, serving or subjugating system, and tradition preserving system. Overall, the original form of Baluwarti Settlement’s spatial layout is still maintained until today, for about 270 years.
