BACKGROUND: One of the most pressing challenges is the need to strengthen health systems based on primary health-care principles. Innovation and system transformation are needed to ensure the proper provision and distribution of health personnel, one of the most promising of which is interprofessional collaboration. AIM: The aim of this research is to produce a disaster management interprofessional education (IPE) development model. METHODS: Design of this research is one group pre- and post-test. The study used a questionnaire to measure the collaborative abilities of students before and after the implementation of IPE using the IPE model compiled by researchers. The population were Nursing Diploma students of Polytechnic of Ministry of Health Manado 3rd year, amounting to 380 people with sample counting using the Slovin formula so as to obtain a total sample of 79 people. RESULTS: The results showed an increase in the average value of the post-test increased by 130.78 from the average value of the pre-test which was 83.04. Wilcoxon statistical test results showed p = 0.000 (<0.005), which means an increase in collaboration skills after respondents were given disaster management IPE learning through virtual learning. CONCLUSIONS: The IPE model was developed effectively in improving the collaboration skills of students in disaster management.
According to Priyatmojo dan Achmadi (2010), universities need to harmonize learning methods with the development of science and technology. To achieve this harmony, one effort that can be done is the use of the method student center learning (SCL) in learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of student learning center methods in Nursing Department of Manado Health Polytechnic. This research is a quantitative study with a type of descriptive study. The research variable is the effectiveness of using the learning method student center learning (SCL). The population in this study were Manado Health Polytechnic Nursing Department students in D3 Class IA and IB who were exposed to the student center learning (SCL) learning method. The subject taking method uses the total sampling method. The effectiveness of using SCL methods was measured using a questionnaire which amounted to 20 statements and then the data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, most of the research subjects 79 (90.8%) argued that the application of student center learning (SCL) in the Health Polytechnic Nursing Department was very effective. The results of this study indicate that the SCL teaching method is very effective in achieving learning objectives. This method not only makes students understand the material but also shapes their character. In addition to shaping the image that learning is fun and not boring, this method also builds the ability of students to actively participate in an activity. It was concluded that the student center learning learning (SCL) method was very effective applied in the Manado Health Polytechnic Department of Nursing. It is recommended that Manado Health Polytechnic institutions be able to provide training to lecturers on SCL learning methods. Keywords: effectiveness, student center learning, Nursing Department
Uterine myoma is a benign smooth muscle tumor of the uterus consisting of smooth muscle tissue cells, fibrous binding tissue and collagen located in the uterus. This benign neoplasm is most commonly experienced by women and its prevalence continues to increase by 70%. Myoma uteri can cause big problems in health. Meanwhile, the lack of health information regarding the etiology of myomas has not yet found effective therapy. The importance of health information about early detection of acquired myoma, can increase women's knowledge of the dangers of uterine myoma. The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education with lecture methods and leaflets on early detection of uterine myomas to the knowledge of women in the village of Tateli Dua. This Type of pre experimental design research used one-group pretest-posttest design to compare knowledge before and after health education. The population is women who meet the inclusion and exclusion sample criteria of 65 respondents. The independent variable is health education about early detection of myoma uteri and the dependent variable is women's knowledge. Data collection tools and measuring tools in the form of questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using software and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The test results showed that there was a significant effect of health education using lecture and leaflet methods about early detection of uterine myomas to the knowledge of women in Tateli village (p-value = 0,000 α = 0.05). It was concluded that there was a health education using lecture method and leaflets on early detection of uterine myoma to increase women's knowledge in Tateli Dua village. Penyakit stroke merupakan salah satu penyakit pembuluh darah akibat tersumbatnya peredaran darah pada otak dengan gejala spontan. serangan stroke dapat terjadi secara mendadak yang kadang kala dapat menyebabkan kematian. Salah satu dampak serangan stroke bagi keluarga adalah dapat menimbulkan kecemasan, respon yang ditimbulkan dan mekanisme koping yang dimiliki relatif berbeda. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran tingkat kecemasan keluarga dalam menghadapi anggota keluarga yang mengalami serangan stroke.Penelitian ini dilakukan ruang stroke Rumah Sakit Faisal Makassar dari tanggal 26 juni sampai dengan 3 juli 2015 dengan jumlah populasi 24 responden dan saat penelitian jumlah sampel sebanyak 18 orang. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan tehnik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan tehnik aksidental sampling, pengambilan data dengan menggunakan quisioner tertutup dan dianalisa dengan menggunakan tabel distribusi frekwensi.Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebagian dari keluarga yang mengalami kecemasan sedang sebanyak 83,3 % dalam menghadapi anggota keluarga yang mengalami serangan stroke, sedangkan sangat sedikit keluarga yang mengalami kecemasan berat sebanyak 5,6 %.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka untuk peningkatan pengetahuan keluarga dalam menghadapi kecemasan perlu diadakan penyuluhan tentang kecemasan dan stroke.
