agli spazi periurbani, alla lotta al contenimento del consumo di suolo, solo per citare alcuni tra i molti temi che si relazionano con questioni più direttamente legate alle politiche urbane. In particolare quello delle politiche locali del cibo si sta affermando come un tema che raccoglie un crescente interesse sia dal mondo politico-amministrativo, sia da quello dei vari attori del sistema del cibo (organizzazioni degli interessi, di produttori, consumatori, movimenti del cibo, ecc.), sia dal dibattito scientifico. Politiche, piani e strategie locali (e in particolare urbano-metropolitane) del cibo costituiscono campo relativamente nuovo di ricerca e di azione politica che unisce gli sguardi, approcci e competenze molto diverse e finora scarsamente collegate. Un campo che si trova infatti sul crocevia di possibili convergenze tra studiosi della città, della produzione agroalimentare, del mondo e del paesaggio rurale, del consumo di suolo e delle dinamiche di periurbanizzazione, nonché di diverse discipline: agronomi ed economisti agrari con approccio territoriale, geografi, urbanisti e architetti, sociologi rurali e dei consumi, esperti di logistica del cibo ed altri scienziati sia nel campo delle scienze umane e sociali sia in quello delle scienze fisico-naturali e della salute, con varie specializzazioni. Verso politiche locali del cibo: la prospettiva dell'Urban food planningAlcune esperienze internazionali (fra cui quelle di Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Bristol) e delle riflessioni pionieristiche come quelle di Pothukuchi e Kaufman (1999), Morgan (2009), Wiskerke (2009), costituiscono il punto di riferimento per il moltiplicarsi di tentativi di strategie urbane alimentari, integrate e territorializzate, capaci di mettere a sistema dimensioni, attori e politiche settoriali del cibo costruendo visioni sistemiche e condivise.
