Stunting is still a global nutritional problem. Stunting is a picture of the occurrence of chronic nutritional problems. Stunting caused by multiple factors, especially if it occurs in the first 1000 days of birth. Malaka Regency is one of the regions in NTT that recorded an increase in the percentage of stunting, from the previous 25% to 30% with the number of children experiencing stunting in Malaka currently reaching 4,909 people. With this number, Malaka is in 11th place with stunting in NTT (Malaka District Health Office, 2020). The purpose of the study was to determine the determinants of stunting in children under five in Malaka Regency. Research design. This research is analytic observational. This research is an observational analytic. The approach is case control and using a multilevel model which is one of the analytical techniques to determine the relationship between various variables in health with the Stata-13 program. This research was conducted by simple random sampling. The sampling technique used in this study. The sampling technique used in this study was stratified random sampling. The method used at the first level was to randomly select 10 villages in the district of Malaka, the second level to randomly select 25 integrated health care (IHC). Eight research subjects will be taken from each integrated service post so that the sample studied is 200 research subjects. Data was collected using a questionnaire and height measurement using a microtoise measuring instrument. The results of this study indicate that the factors causing stunting are exclusive breastfeeding (55.5%), Basic Sanitation (61.5%), Parenting (67.5%), and early marriage (32.0%). The results of this study indicate that the causes of stunting based on these variables have a significant difference (p < 0.05). Recommendations for health workers conduct socialization and counseling about exclusive breastfeeding, the importance of hygiene practices in daily life including caring for children, maximizing the community-based total sanitation program and conducting socialization related to the influence of early marriage.
Implementing this Community Service program aims to reduce the morbidity of anemia in children and young women in the village of Sulamu District reflection of Kupang Regency. This activity was held at GMIT Imanuel Natoen Sulamu Bounce Village of Sulamu District of Kupang Regency. The targets and partners of this activity are children and young women in the Congregation of Imanuel Natoen Sulamu, Lecturer and student of STIKes Maranatha Kupang. Implementation of anemia PKM activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation through 3 stages: the preparation of facilities and infrastructure, the stage of socialization, and evaluation. As for the results of the implementation of amenia counseling, namely the increase in the knowledge of young women of the Church of Emmanuel Natoen Sulamu after being given counseling.
Pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu sangat penting selama masa kehamilan, persalinan, nifas, perawatan bayi dan balita. Kelas ibu merupakan kelompok kelompok belajar ibu-ibu hamil, ibu menyusui dan ibu balita. Kelas ibu hamil difasilitasi oleh bidan dengan menggunakan paket kelas ibu yaitu buku KIA, pedoman pelaksanaan kelas ibu hamil, pedoman penyelenggaraan kelas ibu balita, ibu hamil dan ibu menyusui, pegangan fasilitator kelas ibu ibu balita. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran dalam berbagai hal, antara lain ; pemberian asi eksklusif, imunisasi pada bayi, pemberian MP-ASI dan gizi seimbang kepada balita, memantau pertumbuhan dan melaksanakan stimulasi perkembangan balita, perawatan gigi balita dan mencuci tangan yang benar, penyakit-penyakit umum pada balita. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Pukdale Kabupaten Kupang. Sasaran dan mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Ibu Balita, Kader, Bidan Desa, Bidan Puskesmas, Dosen dan Mahasiswa Prodi Kebidanan STIKes Maranatha Kupang. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan buku KIA pada saat ANC oleh ibu hamil dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan yang memadai tentang kehamilan, persalinan, asi eksklusif, perawatan bayi dan balita, kelas ibu Balita, pengelolaan kelas ibu Balita dengan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan ibu balita dalam perawatan kesehatan bayi balita sebelum (60 %) dan sesudah edukasi (85%), juga terdapatnya pegangan buku KIA bagi Ibu Balita sebelum (55%) dan sesudah edukasi (85%). Simpulan kegiatan Penyuluhan kesehatan berhasil dilaksanakan dengan hasil yaitu meningkatkan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, merubah sikap dan perilaku ibu dengan menggunakan buku KIA dalam mewujudkan tumbuh kembang balita yang optimal.
