This research aims to discover the effectiveness of using Edmodo’s Media as Chemistry’s learning support in SMA Plus Muhammadiyah Merauke. Type of this research is an experimental research, the type of experiment used is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Population of this research is all students of SMA Plus Muhammadiyah Merauke consist of 70 students. Sample of this research is class X in which there are 25 students obtained by using purposive sampling. Data analyzing used is t-test and observation sheet. Based on the result of the research obtained the percentage of learning outcome’s completeness which is 92%, N-Gain score which is 0,68 (categorized as medium), and tcount which is 19,11 (tcount>ttable). Besides, this research’s result is strengthen by the supporting data which are the observation of teacher skill and the observation of students activities, sequentially in the percentage of 91,25% and 88% in which both categorized as very good (complete). As the conclusion, Edmodo’s Media is effective to used as chemistry’s learning support in SMA Plus Muhammadiyah Merauke.

Ant plant Myrmecodia rumphii Becc. is an epiphytic plant that is widely used by local people as an herbal medicine to treat various diseases such as rheumatic and tumors. Methanol extract of M. rumphii Becc. showed high cytotoxicity against shrimp larvae Arthemia salina Leach and antioxidant potential as indicated by high inhibitory activity against DPPH radicals. In the present paper, we provide for the first time the results of phytochemical screening of ant plant M. rumphii Becc. Powder of M. rumphii Becc. was extracted with n-hexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, and methanol then concentrated until concentrated extract was obtained. Test of compound groups was carried out qualitatively. The results showed that there were various metabolites of alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids, flavonoids, phenolics, and tannins which were scattered in extracts with various levels of polarity. From these results it can be concluded that the plants of M. rumphii Becc's contains secondary metabolites which have interesting bioactivity.
Salt hydrolysis is a difficult subject matter for some students, due to the characteristic aspects of chemical concepts and aspects of the learning model. Overcoming the difficulties of these students, one of them uses POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) learning. The POGIL learning model does not direct students in documenting material, so it is accompanied by mind mapping and summary. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the POGIL learning model by mind-mapping assignment between the students taught using the POGIL learning model with a summary assignment on salt hydrolysis material. This study used a quasi-experimental model with posttest only control group design. The results of this study showed that there were differences in cognitive learning outcomes which shown on the average value of students taught with POGIL learning models accompanied by assignments mind mapping higher compared to students who were taught with the POGIL learning model along with summary assignments.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
