A nearly single-phased Bi-2223 sample with T, 108K was studied by low-temperature powder x-ray diffraction. Several discontinuous changes of lattice parameters are observed around 245, 160, 125, 100 and 20K. The most pronounced anomalies occur close to the superconducting transition temperature. Our observation indicates that electron-lattice interaction is quite strong near T,.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
