An ultrasound imaging technology based on electrowetting has been developed and integrated in a miniaturized ultrasound scanner. The feasibility of scanning the ultrasound beam of a single-piston transducer in a three-dimensional space by using electrowetting is demonstrated. The technology has a high potential to be embedded in devices where size restrictions do not allow the use of traditional ultrasound phased-array transducers.
In liquid zoom lens, the accurate fixed-focus location needs the accurate calculation of focal length. That is to say, the accurate calculation of surface curvature must be obtained. Therefore, the research of their relation in liquid zoom lens becomes extremely important which has a directly theoretical instruction for the design of liquid zoom lenses. In our paper, the relation is studied. A manual liquid lens is reported which has upper and nether components with specificaton 5 12 × φ mm. The zoom lens is obtained by the upper component circumvolving down into the nether components.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
